Hermod (8062) - Vantaa, FINLAND - NOV 4, 2011
33cl bottle from Bierzwerg. BBE 31/08/2012. Poured mahogany color with a beige, lasting head. Nice yeasty, fruity, slightly sour aroma, with some caramel coming in later on. Flavor is alcohol, sweet fruits, yeast, long sweet finish with caramel and alcohol warmth. Maybe much alcohol in flavor, but not too sweet. Nicely balanced.

.33l bottle from Rome. Darkest brown-black pour, hazy with foamy tan head. Strong cinnamon-cranberry aroma, robust tart-fruity red body. Spritely and juicy. Pretty good dark belgian, a little unbalanced with the fruit.

mile (3950) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2011
Bottle. Dark amber, hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, very fruity – berries, caramel, some spiciness and yeast. Body is medium to full, malty and sweetish flavor, fruitiness and caramel, faint spiciness and sourness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, fruitiness, caramel and alcohol, faint alcohol and hoppyness. OK strong Belgian ale- spiciness and alcohol balance the sweetish fruitiness.

presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 30, 2011
Bottle. Dirty brown-copper-amber with a thick lasting foam that settles into a clumpy thick velvet. Belgian spice cake aroma with yeast background. Soft mouthfeel. Intriguing blend of spice, yeast and light alcohol. Very hard to believe that it is 9.5%, it is just so balanced. Some chocolate and a hint of molasses come out as it warms. Like drinking a spiced chocolate cookie.
