sour chocolate covered cherries..musty and spicy dances. A bit of burnt rich caramel . A bit of a Flanders/Flemish brown character 2this. Good sipper. lefossoyeur (613) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 24, 2010
Pours a hazy amber with a lasting medium white head that leaves a persisting lace. Strong aromas of pineapple and something that reminds me of chalk, probably something mineral from the water. Full body, very fruity, again it turns all around a strong pineapple character combined with some caramel notes. Finishes on a light malty note, almost refreshing. Alcohol very well hidden, altough it comes out after 3-4 sips. Nice beer if for the pineapple character that I found almost annoying. But overall a decent belgian strong ale. Bottle - 330ml. Cloudy amber body with a thin off-white creamy/foamy head. Malty aroma with hoppy and yeasty hints. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries some woody notes. Ends with a good bittersweet finish. Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 6, 2010
Bottle at home. Clear amber pour with a huge rocky and foamy off-white head. Aroma of dried fruits, coriander, roasted malts and some alcohol. Flavor is sweet with dark malts and bitter in a nice balance with some nice spicy twist. Very lively carbonation and a creamy foamy texture. Spicy bitter finish. Nice brew. screwball (1099) - Motala, SWEDEN - APR 23, 2010
330ml bottle. Pours hazy red brown. Nice. Aroma is sweet from raisins, brown sugar and some spices. Flavor is smooth from brown sugar, raisins, a little bit of chocolate, plums and sweet malt. Quite easy palate and smooth in particular.

Pours a hazy dark orangish amber color. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty, with a touch of fruit. Flavor is a nice mixture of malts and fruits. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2010
Bottled. Poured hazy deeper orange with a creamy, sticky cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up some fruity sweetness, but the related skin tartness was more dominant.. brown sugar and peppery yeast accented.. warm, with a little more tartness than I’d prefer. The flavor found biscuit and fruity malts at the core, with the aforementioned tart fruits and peppery yeast around.. the yeast was even spicier and picked up toasted banana as it warmed up.. warm residual fruit sugars and tartness on the finish.. this grew on me. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated.. spicy where it needed to be, and well-balanced.. I’d drink more of this. planky84 (3259) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2010
Bottle from beersofeurope.com. Light brown pour with an off-white fluffy head. Lasts a fair while. Good carbonation. Aromas of strawberries, peaches, caramel, sweet spices, herbs. Liked the whiff of this one. Has an aged quality about it. Flavours of herbs, grass, coacoa, wood, slight sourness. Warming alcohol, massages the throat. Finishes dry and hoppy. Interesting.
