Perfume fragrance, cider like appearance and corny flavor. I wasn’t impressed by this lawnmower beer. Bottle said Kolsh and Ale on it, not sure what this beer was supposed to be.

Clear yellow/golden with a medium white head. Clean malt aroma. Light malt flavor with a touch of hop bitterness. Crisp and refreshing. My first Kolsch. I’d like to try some more.

On tap (which I think makes all the difference with this type of beer). Very clean. Nice malt up front, pleasant fruity, noble hops in the middle and finish. Great balance. Medium-light body. Great summer session beer!

Standard lager aroma. Huge head on first pour of mini-keg. No visible carbonation. Dark gold. I’m not sure I am overly impressed by the flavor of this brew. It may be my less than diverse experience with the Kolsch style. Very softly carbonated and somewhat buttery/creamy. Smooth and easy drinking. A reasonably good German Kolsch.

Slight grassy aroma with some orange. A very soft grassy bitterness with some orange. Plastic in the aftertaste. Soft and fairly well balanced kölsch, but not a winner.

Brilliant gold w/fine bubbles. Clean nose with light apricot. Slight creaminess, with some fruit, very clean. Rich yet delicate no off flavors. Great lawnmowing beer.

Golden color with a white head. The taste is light malty with a nice balanced hoppy finish. Its a little thin.

Best Kölsch to date - all others have been from U.S. Has a light golden appearance, slightly hazy. Thin white head, aroma is bittersweet and clean. Flavor is slightly salty and yeasty with some butter thrown in there as well and finishes with some bittery hoppy notes. Mouthfeel is full and creamy - just the right amount of carbonation. .

Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUL 5, 2004
The beer after its separation from the 500ml brown bottle set in the glass the quintessential unclouded gold with a dinosauric sized head that is spumescent in texture, the color a brilliant white as it ever so slowly dematerializes, the lace then forms a satin sheet to lie upon the glass. The nose is fresh, crisp, clean with nice malt sweetness, and the start quite sweet with a pleasant malt profile, the top is prototypical in its light feel to the palate. Finish has a fair to middling acidity, the hops apropos to the style, spicy but pleasant to the palate, very dry and lingering aftertaste, a real refreshing change of pace from the over the top hopped beers I normally favor, quite drinkable and a nice Arizona summer beer.

The body was a medium-yellow with a moderate white head that dissapated quickly, leaving a nice lacing. A rather average tasting light beer.
