Purs a straw color with a big white head. Aroma is light and fruity sweet with some grassy notes. Flavor again is light and sweet. A little lemony. Light and crisp.

To appreciate a Kolsch is to revel in the delicate, to appreciate subtlety. With the proliferation of I2PA’s and the like, it’s important to take a step back once in a while and attempt to appreciate a more, shall we say, subdued beer. Light yellow in color, with a nice fresh hoppy aroma. Fluffy off-white head, light creamy carbonation, this beer crosses the palate with a low-medium body and a sunny fruitiness throughout the middle, ending with a tinge of hop flavors on the tongue. If this beer were a woman, it would be that petite little bespeckled blonde down the block, not model-gorgeous or top-heavy bombshell, but the wholesome cutie pie you’d always kept your eye on and could see yourself marrying someday. A very nice beer.

Very carbonated. Overly so, perhaps. Even after accidentally freezing this twice, it kept carbonated. Light lahger color. Not a fan.

Pours a clear straw colour with a big frothy head. Aromas of grassy hops and pears. Light taste of malt and citrus with a nice hop finish. Very drinkable.

Very fizzy with a light lager color. Dry, lagerish taste with some sweetness and not much hops. A letdown.

Floral aroma of hops. Usual appearance golden with a decent foamy head. Fairly nutty taste with flora and citruss in the finish. A bit petroly though. Not my favourite Kolsch.

Clear golden color with a foamy white head. Grainy, almost wheaty aroma with hints of lemon. Some earthy grain flavors with hints of lemon and grassy. Crisp, dry and bitter finish.

Bottled: Clear straw hue with frothy and rocky head, very good lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and noble hops, light apple and pears, toasted buttery malts, and a wheaty ester. The taste is a smooth mild bitterness with undertones of sublime citrus and subdued malts. A touch of very light smoke and lingering bitters on the finish. The feel is clean and crisp, very smooth and quaffable. A excellent session bier, nothing big or bold but well crafted.

Clean grassy hopped aroma over a totally clear golden brew with a nice white head. Taste is very clean and refreshing, a bit fruity with a great hopped finish. Very drinkable and tastefully simple. One hell of a good summer day brew.

I had this on tap first and honestly thought I was drinking a lager. Nice look, refreshing mouth-fill, and slides down easily. Later I had a bottle from Archer Liquors. Same easy, likeable drink. I have to do more Kolsches. I apparently, hop-head that I be, enjoy them.
