FistFullOfCats (163) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - DEC 31, 2006
Bottle. Pours a straw yellow with a cheap looking soapy white head that dissipates quickly. Lots of carbonation in this one; it looks almost exactly like ginger ale when poured. Aroma of corn and not much else. Flavor of sweet corn, apples, and uh, cornbread. Finishes with corn. So…this, out to the bottle, tastes like PBR on draft. If this was $5 for a 6, then fine, but well…its not. Oh well.

Bottle from New Seasons.

A: Clear gold with hints of copper. Thin drifting white head. Not much in the way of lacing.

N: Corn, sulfur, spent grains, light pine, and a touch of coriander. Some residual sugars. A bit of nuttiness including pistachio followed up by honey.

T: Decently bitter with a light sweetness. Hops carry through as does the flora.

M: Light body, no alcohol, tingling carbonation that can sit a bit flat.

O: Nice kölsch. Hast that honey and field thing going on, though it does have a dampened mouthfeel.

kraddel (9176) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - DEC 12, 2017
Pours clear blonde, Small, semi-stable white head. Smell is malty, tad sweet ( white bread) , light DMS, pure grains. No hop profile, clean fermentation profile. taste is very mildly bitter, tad creamy body, good amount of maltyness. minor metallic notes. DMS doesn't show as much in the taste. Decent

Pale gold and clear with a thick, dissipating white head and a malty nose. Easy intro with a medium, crisp mouthfeel. Finishes bready, malty, and with some honey notes.

willisread (3703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 7, 2017
Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Grainy nose, lots of fields of grain. Clean and crisp, faint sweetness. Light hops on the finish. What a Kölsch should be. Very enjoyable.

Piepenhenrich (1252) - Steinbach, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2017
Being brought up on Altbier it's hard to be objective on Kölsch. Among the Kölsch I had, I find Reissdorf to be among the best.

A really nice Kolsch, though not the best of the varieties I tried on my visit to Cologne. Light a crisp, hay and grass. Mild, bright bitterness.
