Draught @ Gastropub Nordic, Tampere.laiti (8531) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 15, 2013
Pours a brown copper colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of spruce, yeast, sweet caramel and earthiness. Flavour of caramel, strong unpleasant yeastiness, grassy bitterness, berries, bread, licorice and some unclean off-flavours. Medium bodied and slick mouthfeel. Finishes berryish and yeasty, which creates a rather unpleasant mixture. Homebrewish and messy.
Draught @ Gastropub Nordicjpkeskinen (530) - FINLAND - JUL 13, 2013
Aroma is floury with grassy hops and some ripe fruits - feels a bit like hefeweizen. Flavour is yeasty and floury with some grassy hops, ripe fruits and hints of cardboard. Also hints of spices and gingerbread. A bit messy, like a dunkelweizen with belgian hops.
Drank as a draught at a bar. Looks very nice and has a good head. Taste is fresh but lacks some character. olio (10689) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 12, 2013
Tap as "Kaksi Kotia Belgian IPA" @ Gastropub Nordic, Tampere.ration (2281) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 12, 2013
Pours hazy orange color with a small steady head. Aroma of yeast, mild hops and ripe fruits. Flavour of ripe fruits, grass, caramel, yeast, faint banana esthers and citric fruits. A bit messy and not really anything to do with IPA.
120713. Tap at Nordic, Tampere. Puts cloudy copper with a nice head. Aroma bread, Belgian yeast. Some banana. Quite low palate. Not Bad.
Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JUL 7, 2013
Draught at Harry’s, Jyväskylä. Murky brown color. Tart fruity and spicy aroma with clove, pepper, lemon and earthy herbs. Fairly phenolic and earthy taste with firm bitterness, clove, pepper and perhaps hint of seabuckthorn also. Medium to full body. There is a lot going on, but aromas and flavors do not blend well, as is often the case in Belgian IPA’s. FatPhil (17334) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 4, 2013

Pretty bold spicy and herbal aroma, some nettles. Sharp in the mouth. Raw, and a bit yeasty. Has some saisony grunge. A bit rough. Medium palate, a little sticky, but with pleasant carbonation. Finish is very herbal, and a bit saisony. Belgian is not a good twist on IPA, IMHO, but it’s perfectly drinkable.

Super sharp tyrni aroma, but a decent pale ale backbone behind that. Deep orange, light keggy head. Alas some sour charpness in the taste. But a decent hoppy ale. Plenty of banana and toffee. Lots of different aspects, I really enjoyed this one.
Draught @ Villi Wäinö, Helsinkimjs (7778) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 1, 2013
Pours dark orange with a smooth foamy head. Aroma of berries, spices, caramely malts and slight fruity notes. Taste is malty and sweetish with notes of berries, yeast, fruits, hints of gooseberries and seabuckthorn. Finish is hoppy, slightly tart and caramely with hints of seabuckthorn and berries. Quite unique beer, but feels a bit unbalanced.
UPDATED: AUG 31, 2013 (Re-rate, keg at Oljenkorsi, 20130831) The flavour had not so much seabuckthorn than the previous batch I tried. Therefore the end result was more balanced and cleaner than the previous version.

(Keg at Villi Wäinö, 20130701) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and almost white. Aroma had fruitiness, berries and malts. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, seabuckthorn, Belgian style yeast, sweetness, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, spicy and bitter. A messy brew and probably the leftovers of the keg. Old rating: 6-2-5-2-11=2.6
Nice and quite unique due to strong presence of sea-buckthorn. A bit "heavy" beer, 33 cl glass was very appropriate size.
