[email protected] (backlog, thanks to Lövis for sharing). Deep ambery brown colour with a sall off-white head. Aroma is juniper, some caramel, sour wood and mild earthiness. Flavour is toffee, mild juniper, some caramel as well as mild toasted notes along with some slight ryebread in the aftertaste.

Tap (Aino, Helsinki)
Dep ruby red, beige head. Rich treacly aroma, rye bread too. A very simple palate, a little sweetish feel, but with crisp carbonation too. Retronasals sweet and herbal. Very drinkable, refreshing and very quaffable. Some treacle in the finish too, but it’s also slightly herbal, heading towards piney. Later finish is a bit leafy, some black tea.

Draught at Ravintola Aino, Helsinki. Colour is reddish brown with large brownish head. Aromas and flavours are malts, juniper, bread and spices. Too carbonated but first beer from Rekola that doesn’t taste too watery.

mjs (6636) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 3, 2012
(Draught at Aino, 20121103) The beer poured deep mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had mals, molasses, mildly juniper and hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, juniper, sweet dry bread, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, sweet and bitter. A nice malty brew with noticeable but not too strong juniper scent and flavour. The best one from this brewery so far.
