This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a cloudy burnt orange/copper color. Slim coat of white foamy head slid off super quickly. No lace. The aroma had some white pepper, grapefruit pulp, some Belgian sweet yeastiness, red apples and a little bit of herbal character. The flavor was somewhat sweet through the prior mentioned aromas. Quick herbal sweet and apple-like aftertaste guiding the finish the same sort of way. The palate was about medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Some carbonation. ABV felt fine. Overall, wait, there was rye that was supposed to be in this? Interesting, well, I missed that, but in reality, this was a pretty nice saison that I could have again.

Bottle. Dark golden pour with a thin off white head. Aroma of paper, earth, rye, and yeast. Thin mouthfeel with a musty finish.

Sampled at the brewery. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, floral hops, some rye spiciness, and a nice light malt character. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Average texture. Not bad at all.

Dark for a saison, no head, mild aroma. Some pepper and lemon. Has all the characteristics of a good saison, but unfortunately this beer shows the same QC problems (off-notes) that seem to be a trend for this brewery. Decent at first, but it became a chore to finish the bottle.

Bottle from Manchester W&L. Pours out a hazy light honey color. Decent carbonation. Nice, fruity-yeast aromas and flavors. Some peppery spice and mode bread. Decent.

Pours clear golden with a nice white head. The aroma of flowers and fruit are promising. A bit thin in body, but nice carbonation. Flavor consists of orchard fruit a bit of must, and an off soapy characteristic that unfortunately rubbed this for me. I really wanted to like it, but ended up putting half the bottle down the drain.

Very nice saison. Great yeast esters with floral fruitiness and some peppery spice. Super clean and drinkable with a light lemony tartness that is very subtle. GREAT beer.
