Gerbeer (3751) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 22, 2013
500 ml bottle. Pours an almost opaque dark brown with moderate head of big tan bubbles that dissipate quickly. Aroma of heavily roasted malts, brownies, and dusty dry cocoa. Flavors of bitter chocolate, black coffee, and roasted malts. Light, acidic, and overly carbonated. Sweet? I don’t think so. CapFlu (5127) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 15, 2013
500ml bottle purchased from Spinnakers Liquor Store in James Bay. Large brown frothy head with an opaque body. Nose of nutty malt and tonic water. Flavour is thin and metallic, some roastiness but overall lacking complexity. Below average. DuffMan (10429) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 19, 2013
Bottle, shared with my wife. Dark brown with a frothy light brown head. Malty aroma, roasty and bready, Chocolate liqueur. Roasty malt and fudgey chocolate palate, nice and full-bodied for a lower ABV stout. Very good. stantheman (1050) - British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 28, 2013
A 500 ml bomber from Central City Liquor Store in Surrey. Black in color with generous tan head. Chocolate on the nose. Flavors of chocolate and coffee, with a bit of hop note on the back end. Quite nice. gnoff (10336) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - AUG 26, 2013

I’m guessing it was the 2012, it stated 4.9% ABV anyhow.
$10 for a small pour, not cheap.
Black color with hints of dark brown, brown head. Cocoa, chocolate, smooth, a bit sweet taste. Chocolate, cocoa aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium dry bitterness. Dark chocolate scent.
500ml bottle pours dark brown (almost black) in color with a finger and a half of light brown head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is dominated by chocolate and roasted grains with some hints of hops. Taste is a bold chocolate malty sweetness with some roasted grain and grassy hop bitterness. Body is a little thin for the style and carbonation is just adequate. Quite a good brew, but there are certainly better opportunities out there in the world of stouts. bhensonb (15191) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 9, 2013
Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours very dark brown with a foamy 3 finger frothy light tan head. Nice aroma of dark milk chocolate with a hop hit. Med body - less as froth goes. Not the best impression there. The flavor is now bitter chocolate - there seems to be a lot of hop in here. Touch of coffee. I’m not sure this works all that well. Lots of flavor - but harsh - and hoppy chocolate? It is growing on me. Seeing it finishing dry, bitter and chocolate. Ok. I’m convinced. stoutnick (842) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 6, 2013
Black. Aroma is roasty. Taste is medium carbonation, mild roast, and boring maltiness. Overall, a dull beer. kayres (888) - , Georgia, USA - JUN 27, 2013
Pours with an enormous frothy tan head quickly engulfing the entire class (too many oats), slightly bitter roast aroma. Silky chockaty smooth flavor with a sweet finish

500mL bottle (6.5% abv). Pours black with a mocha head and the best milk chocolate aroma i have ever had the pleasure of experiencing in a beer. Wonderful chocolate flavour with a hint of coffee. It takes me back to early easter morning, drinking coffee after i had just gotten up and have chocolate eggs for breakfast. A truly wonderful beer.
