Aroma: rich, chocolatey and malty; a little dry; Appearance: pitch black with fluffy offwhite head that lingers; Taste: follows nose; a classic porter with nice depth; Palate: heavy body with long, malty finish; Overall: a nice porter, but not my favorite style. Would not get again. blackisle (2758) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - DEC 7, 2016

Pours a thick brownish creamy head and goes away slowly, after a while. Has a very dark brown appearance, close to black. Good lacing. Some aromas of cocoa, toffee and nuts. Dry fruit and spiced hops, and a bit of chocolate as well. Strong chocolate flavours, with notes of caramel and some toffee again. A little bit sweet. Roasted malts bring about hints of coffee. Mouthfeel is fullbodied and has a creamy, warming sensation. Mild bitterness, Medium carbonation. Very good and easy to drink porter. Bitterness and sweetness is well balanced. Darkish color with a quickly dissipated coffee crema head. A lovely toasted smooth flavor with sweet malts at the forefront. Very enjoyable. nickd717 (4822) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 22, 2016
500ml bottle from Liquor King Carlton in Chchch. Darkest brown in color with a large, lasting tan head. The aroma is intense. Roast, charcoal, dark chocolate, blackberry, anise. 500ml bottle. Pours a deep brown with off white head. Strong nose full of chocolate and roasted Malty flavours. The flavour follows the same with a hint of hop flavour near the end. onceblind (10297) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 27, 2016
Black pour with a thin foamy light tan cap. Wonderful earthy and semisweet cocoa on the nose with light roast and light caramel. Full and roasty flavor that’s a slight bit of cocoa and light coffee, especially on the finish. It’s a slight bit metallic on the finish but has a lovely cocoa and roast body.
