From tap at Muted Horn, Berlin. Very dark mahogany color with a beige head. The aroma is full of roasted malt with lots of coffee, some caramel, burnt wood; slightly earthy and peaty - very nice aroma. Medium body with a light to medium sweetness and a light bitterness. Very balanced. The flavor is again full of roasted malt - coffee, toffee, caramel, some chocolate. Finishes lightly bitter, roasty with some burnt notes. Very nice porter!

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with deep ruby glimmer and average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, sulphureous to beige head. Roasty dark malty, fruity hoppy and minimally herbal aroma, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, pumpernickel, a touch of lovage, fruity hints of dark berries, bramble, juniper berry. Taste is slightly sweet, chocolately dark malty and fruity, notes of dark chococlate, a minimally ashy touch, hints of plum, bramble, morello cherry.

Bottle from Yamaya. A little old. Soft, chocolaty malt, rich, caramel, some berries, a bit oxidized. Cloudy dark brown, low thick head. Lots of cocoa, berries, light roast. Very well balanced, great chocolate malt but not very sweet. Peppery, bitter finish works well. Body is a bit light, but smooth. Nicely done overall.
