zacgillbanks (5506) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2016
6.66% ABV bottle from Glug, Newcastle. Opaque black with a huge rocky tan head. It has a very rich chocolate and liquorice flavour with coffee, oak and red berry notes on the smooth roasted finish. Superb!

Tried on fill your own winos. This beer is really dark in color almost pure black. The taste of this beer is great. It gives a slight roast flavor then a great taste and smell of hops just like an IPA. Fruity aroma. Recommended!

Narkee (15) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 12, 2014
Pours black with a purple tinge when held to the light. Finger width head which has strong retention. Aroma is strong pine with subtle coffee, mango and grass. Bitterness upfront which mellows and driven by pine and a malt sweetness. This carries through with a strong favour of roasted coffee beans. This is an absolutely cracking beer.

ciaranc (1306) - Dublin, IRELAND - NOV 13, 2012
Pour is jet black with a coffee colored head. Nice lacing. Lovely toasted bread, coffee and a nice spray of resinous piney hops in the aroma. Slick but not heavy in the body. Flavors are roast malt, some hints of coffee and a nice blast of hop bitterness. Long bitter finish. Nice.

Davros (3282) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 26, 2014
Pours dark brown with a small head. Aroma of piny and grapefruit-like hops alongside some roast, spicy rye, passionfruit and peach. Similarly fruity flavours, more passion fruit and gentle roast. Not as much rye though.
