"Great Punkin" Brewed with roasted pumpkin and a blend of spices to yield ’pumpkin pie’ notes and a deep red/orange colour. Lightly hopped with NZ Fuggle and fermented with ale yeast; medium body and moderate bitterness allow the flavour of pumpkin, spice and caramelized malts to shine through. Special thanks to Andy, Jim, Holly and JDawg.

I’m not sure I can nail down any particular taste as an individual taste, this is going quietly about being a good beer, and being very good about it. I would have enjoyed more head, and some lacing in the glass if I was being picky. But this shouldn’t put you off.

Pours a huge foamy bubbly head. Has a murky amber appearance. Thick patchy lacing. Aromas of spices, malted barley and resin hops. Flavours are mild pumpkin spice, tart, light nutmeg notes. Mouthfeel is tingly, astringent and has a thick foaminess. Fairly light bodied. Carbonation is pretty excessive. Not bad but I think the excessive carbonation and mouthfeel is little too much for me.

500 ml bottle picked up at The Party Source. Pours a slightly hazy orange brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, pumpkin, pumpkin spices, caramel, some earthy notes, your basic pumpkin ale.

Bottle:   Spritzy on the tongue, lots of brown sugar, a little mulled spice wine like aspects.   Not a bright spicy example.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Fairly dark in color too.   Tart soft vinous finish, a bit musty.   Flavors fall off quickly after the finish.   Just leaves a little basement mustiness, like really old wine without the sourness.   Meh...

Bottle. Bronze and spicy with a subtle bitterness. Medium body. Pleasant but a bit too spicy for my palate.

Aroma is spices/cinnamon, malts and a hint of vegetables. The flavor is malts, spices/cinnamon, fruit and a slightly tart/sour finish.

Disappointed. Green, acidic and damned well disappointed. Some interesting flavours coming through but what a rough delivery!

A splendid and solid pumpkin beer. The spice notes are perfect. Definitely recommended.

Super rich, fairly complex, thick and chewy pumpkin brew. Blood orange pour with an eggshell head. Guard meat, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, and honey. A pretty damn good representation of the style.

500ml bottle. Poured dark red/brown, pumpkin spice aroma, taste of pumpkin and spice without being over sweet or cloying

Tmoney99 (15040) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 4, 2015
Bottle. Poured clear orange color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid pumpkin spice aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium pumpkin sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft seasonal beer.
