Bottle at Stray Dog. Exceedingly dark brown color, small tan head. Aroma of dayes, raisins, figs. Taste is sweet prunes and raisins. Interesting stuff. bhensonb (15079) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 20, 2014
Bottle from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Pours very dark orange copper with no significant head. Interesting aroma - which suggests inhaling a freshly opened box of raisins. Med minus body. Flavor is darkish malt, and darkish raisin. Might be some other fruits too. This ale is pointed in a nice direction, but it seems light (tho quite dark). Nice drink, but it seems it could have been more. Sammy (12091) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 2, 2014
LCBO assignment. Pours cloudy golden body with dissipitating white head. Raisin aroma. Medium mouthfeel. Refreshing but more than a few ounces were tiring. A little more invigorating than say an Innis & Gunn. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 20, 2014
2014-11-17. Lightly hazy brown body, large foamy beige head. 3++ Aroma of dusty malt, dark fruit with a lightly tangy quality to it. Flavour is similar, sweet malty base with touches of caramel, and almost Belgian like yeast quality, raisins, dark fruit with tangy fruity undercurrents suggestive of perhaps too long in the cellar. Smooth average plus body is effervescently carbonated. Enjoyable but not particularly exciting. Bottle from LCBO, Toronto. Bottle, shared with Dave. Dark amber, medium light beige head. Estery caramel, sultana sweetness. Nothing to get excited about, a bit underwhelming in fact, considering the quality that these guys put out.

Aroma sweetness upon Belgian yeast influence, softens around, sugars and semi dry alcohol
Top: mid lasting off white cap.
Base: clear amber with hint of fresh copper.
Palate : medium full bodied, lighter carbonation, semi oily softer finish.
Taste: silky smooth with raisin sugary hints on walls, some alcohol heat but not heavy, tannins , red apple skin with bittering hops.
Other notes another unusual brew. Kudos to brew masters !
Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian malt with light caramel notes and some dry fruits clearly identifiable. Taste is also dominated by light sweet caramelized malt notes with some dry fruits notes easily noticeable. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting but not necessarily something I would seek on a regular basis. kaser (6213) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 8, 2015
Super cloudy amber red pour from bottle at Lakehouse. White head. Sweet, malty, and sugar aroma. Brown sugar, ripe fruit, and of course raisins. Weird. Not bad at all mkel07 (5829) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 7, 2013
500ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique. Dark brown cola colour with a slight head that drifts away. Lots of fruity aromas make thus a pleasing beer.thin bodied but in a good way.
