500mL bottle, pours a murky orangey brown with a small beige head. Aroma of tropical fruits, citusy hops, grapefruit and sugary caramel malt - not the most aromatic, but rather subdued. Flavour reveals a more malt-heavy IIPA, with lots of caramel malt, tropical fruits (mango, peach and pineapple), some bitter grapefruit rind and citrus hops. Seems a bit under-attenuated with some residual sugars, but not too much of a flaw. Solid drinkable IIPA that’s a bit messy. Ferris (16496) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 27, 2013
Bottle - Earthy hops, rich malts and a bit of booze. Dark amber with a frothy beige head. Pine, resin and very earthy with a orange pith bitterness that lingers. There is a nice sweetness in there, but the bitter finish overwhelms and in my opinion takes over what could have been a great beer. bhensonb (15751) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 18, 2012
Bottle from City Beer - so it must be 2012 - yet the ABV is 8.5. Not sure what makes this beer different from year to year. Pours copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is very soft and fruity - suggesting tropical fruits. Med+ body. Flavor is strongly fruity - very hoppy, but not harsh - almost lush. Hard to dig out the malt. Lots of hop. There’s a bit of heat when it hits the gullet. Finishes quite bitter - as hoppy as NW DIPAs usually are, but fruiter and less harsh. Good stuff indeed. Bottle shared by Dave. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with a dry smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. The beer is a solid brew.

Bang on DIPA. In your face hops, and these hops were citrus tangy, with some white wine character. Big foamy head. A bit boozy. Good drinkability on taste.LCBO treat.

2013-10-14. Very hazy dark amber body, modest off white head. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly hoppy, moderately alcoholic. Flavour is pretty bitter, sweetish core, moderate citrus character grows as it warms, nice grapefruit and pith. Smooth average plus bodied palate. 500 ml bottle shared by Dave. Pours a clear golden amber color with a small white head. The aroma is fruity with citrus and light tropical notes, herbal, grass with a light sweet malt note. The flavor was very much like the nose with moderate bitterness at the finish. Solid, with nothing outstanding. DuffMan (10664) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 2, 2013
Bottle, shared with GCDP. Deep tawny colour, very hazy, with a thick golden head. Heavy toffee malts dominate the pleasing citrus hops that are here, making this brew feel more like a "baby barley wine" for me, which I was quite happy with. Not an IIPA to please the hophead purists, but I found it very pleasing. mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 9, 2014
[5920-20131012] 500mL bottle. Grainy orange malt aroma. Hazy, red orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter orange peel grain flavour has a long-lasting aftertaste. Full body. Tasty, quite bitter and bold. (8/4/8/4/16) 4.0- JoeMcPhee (9549) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 12, 2013
Deep amber pour with a tight off-white head. The aroma is herbal and fruity. A touch of pineapple and guava along with some savoury herbal notes. A little bit of toasted malt and some lightly bready character in the back. Earthy but firm bitterness. Warming brings up some more earthy/fruity notes. A touch of peppery ethanol on the finish. Warming really amplifies the malt component. I’d love to have this fresher - I can tell there’s something super interesting about these hops but they’re quite muted by the time they get to Ontario.
