Bottled. A hazy dark red-brown beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, and bananas, leading to a dry finish. Very odd.

JanLaursen (3226) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 21, 2013
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Deep mahagony with a beige head. Odd citric, tart aroma. Flavor is just as strange: light chocolate, phenolic, tart. The desciption sounds like a bad joke - and it is.

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 21, 2013
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a cloudy reddish amber with a beige head. Heavy phenol aroma with some chocolate blending in. Rich body, massively tart, chocolate, yeast and massive phnols. Absolutely no bitterness. An utter mess of a beer. 210113

During GABF weekend. Great name but the least favorite of my flight. Maltiness with some sweetness. A touch of abbey style notes. I am not getting what this beer is going for.

gnoff (11227) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 7, 2012
Draught as part of a flight, at the Renegade tap room, on October 6, 2012
Dark brown to black color, light brown head. Sweet, roasted, burnt pop-corn, phenoles, smoke scent. Banana, smoke, phenoles, alcohol taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - OCT 1, 2012
On tap at brewery, back in August. Very interesting combination of flavors. Kudos to Renegade for brewing outside the box -- and thinking more like a homebrewer than a commercial brewer. At first, I got a lot of cocoa powder, vanilla beans and milk chocolate. Hints of banana and bubblegum followed. Then I got chewy wheat and sweet grains. Texture was light and pleasant. Bitterness was very mild, and it seemed to blend with a faint roasted coffee note. Overall, it was a tad too sweet for me, but I appreciated the creativity.
