Bottled. A hazy dark red-brown beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, cocoa, chocolate, vanilla, and bananas, leading to a dry finish. Very odd.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Deep mahagony with a beige head. Odd citric, tart aroma. Flavor is just as strange: light chocolate, phenolic, tart. The desciption sounds like a bad joke - and it is. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 21, 2013
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a cloudy reddish amber with a beige head. Heavy phenol aroma with some chocolate blending in. Rich body, massively tart, chocolate, yeast and massive phnols. Absolutely no bitterness. An utter mess of a beer. 210113 beersearcher (2383) - Glendale, California, USA - OCT 15, 2012
During GABF weekend. Great name but the least favorite of my flight. Maltiness with some sweetness. A touch of abbey style notes. I am not getting what this beer is going for. gnoff (11227) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 7, 2012
Draught as part of a flight, at the Renegade tap room, on October 6, 2012Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Dark brown to black color, light brown head. Sweet, roasted, burnt pop-corn, phenoles, smoke scent. Banana, smoke, phenoles, alcohol taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
On tap at brewery, back in August. Very interesting combination of flavors. Kudos to Renegade for brewing outside the box -- and thinking more like a homebrewer than a commercial brewer. At first, I got a lot of cocoa powder, vanilla beans and milk chocolate. Hints of banana and bubblegum followed. Then I got chewy wheat and sweet grains. Texture was light and pleasant. Bitterness was very mild, and it seemed to blend with a faint roasted coffee note. Overall, it was a tad too sweet for me, but I appreciated the creativity.
