On tap at the Renegade tap room, poured a slightly hazy golden hue w/ average white head to a thin lasting cap and excellent lacing. Initial flavor is light sweet with a bold bitter finish of moderate duration. Tastes are citrus, caramel, herbal, apricots, rye, and a piney finish. Medium bodied, dry mouthfeel, and average carbonation. DenverLogan (1218) - LA, California, USA - JUL 29, 2013
Golden copper...small lingering bubbles lacing my chalice. Aroma of wheat, grass, rye. Flavors of a nice IPA with rye briteness, with touches of white pepper, pine, rosemary, sage, alcohol, and a hop and rye bitterness. There’s also a sweetness like a peppermint candy with a touch of bitterness. Significant carbonation and body. I’ll admit I’ve bought perhaps 10 growlers of this brew, and it’s not the closest brewery to me in the Denver area. I used to go a few blocks away to Breckenridge for their 471 double IPA, and I still like it, but there’s something about this brew, the spice-hop-rye balance that has body, strength, and tastiness. Very satisfying in the growler or at the brewery. I’ve not tries the cans yet. Cwrw42 (51) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 25, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2012 Refreshing thirst quencher on a record high temp day! Balance of hops and spice in the aroma. Medium bodied, easy drinking one to come back to again and again...... onceblind (9681) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 2, 2011
Deep opaque copper. Aroma has slight rye with a ton of citrus hops. Smells also, oddly, of freshly cleaned copper. But the taste is where it’s at. Caramel malt and rye hit first, with some grapefruit/orange citrus rind, resinous and juicy. Balanced, assertive, big delightful flavor. Win! DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - SEP 29, 2011
Pours clear light orange with white lacing. Light aroma of rye & citrus peel. Palate is full-bodied, really hoppy with lots of bitter grapefruit flavor. Rye is nice, not overbearing, but a nice complinet to the hops. Very lingering finish.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2011 [Have had a few more times since the initial batch - the hop profile is much more strong and crisp, keeping the sweetness much more in check - solid and my current go-to local IPA] Tap at the brewery - lightly hazy orange - nose explodes with wet, fresh, citric hop character - medium body, creamy mouthfeel - mildly acidic, with moderate sweetness to balance - moderately bitter, earthy hop character, carrying a lot o citrus flavor, complimented fairly well by the light sourness of the rye - a bit yeasty, and the sweetness lingers a bit, but I enjoyed this one. arminjewell (9669) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 19, 2012
Pour on tap is clear orange with nice white head, aroma brings notes of big pine, caramel, orange and citrus notes with a nice spicy rye presence. Taste is a nice mix of pine and spicy hops, touch of orange and grapefruit, hints of rye spice but not really very present, touch of biscuit and caramel finishes fairly bitter. Nice stuff, like it! mlunger12 (645) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 11, 2013
On tap at brewery. Pours amber. Nice sweet aroma. It’s not quite overly bitter and the rye really sticks out well on the back end. This is quite enjoyable and a great start for the brewery. Errl (2442) - Plano, Texas, USA - MAR 23, 2013

Small, white head with good retention and an even better, lasting, sticky lace. Murky, gold colored brew. Gots a juicy, resiny citrus nose with notes of pine and some crystal malts. Body is medium with a nice carbo level. nicely oily, resiny, juicy. Sticky, citrusy hop flavors, grapefruit and tangerine with some woody, cedary notes and just a splash of lightly sweet malts. The rye is hard to find, at least for me but no matter as this is a juicy lil IPA. Nice, round finish that lasts. Nice brew! My first Renegade beer and its a nice one. Thanks for the cans, stumpy!
