Pint at the brewery. Pours cloudy orange with a tall white head and dense lacing. Aroma is adequately hoppy, pineapple, grapefruit and pine are here. Rye cuts through as well. It’s got a full mouthfeel and juicy citrus with a bit of rye spiciness. It’s well balanced and decently bitter. I could use more pop from the hops, but it’s good stuff.

1 pint can. Hazy cooper color, light white head. Aroma and taste of hips, rye, with notes of grass, malt, and slight caramel. Not as much rye sour impact as other versions of this style.

draft @ kitchen next door, boulder. light filtering gives it a shimmering copper colored body. high alpha acid american hop nose (dried grass, orange oil, pine resin, grapefruit) with touches of caramel / vanilla / rye from the grains. medium body, surprisingly tight malt structure and carbonation, firm toastiness with a resinous pine and mildly spiced rye character. clean for the most part. well-done. i’m actually impressed by this new startup, they’re putting out flavorful, well-made beers right off the bat.

Slightly opaque gold, not much head. Lingering back of the mouth bitterness with nice but not over the top rye qualities ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can; poured a clear gold amber color with a frothy white head. Aroma of citrus/orange, rye spiciness and some earth. Flavor had a similar flavor profile. Seemed to get tastier throughout the can.

Notes from Denver trip: At Sputino on 32nd. Light gold pour, nice white head, good lace. Nose is rye and citrus. Bitter. Middle is rye malt backbone, biscuit creeping in on the side, balanced hop bitterness. Finish is beautifully bittersweet duel between hops and malt.

12 oz can. Nice pineapple in the aroma. Cloudy amber color with thick white head of nice tiny bubbles. Flavor has a hint of spiciness from the rye, a touch citrusy. Med bodied, with lively carbonation. Overall, not too bad but almost overcarbonated?

12oz can pours with a nicely hop hazed copper body that supports a near white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up pine, floral hops, a bit of citrus and then a maltiness that might have a spicy rye like feel to it. The taste delivers hop notes that are on the bitter and near resiny side. I get a moderate pine hoppiness that has a resiny edge and then some pineapple and grapefruit fruity hop bitterness. Behind that lurks a rye spicy twang. Decent bitter hopped brew.

Can: Very hazy amber/orange with a short beige head. Bready, rye, caramel aroma. Taste is caramel malt, rye, grapefruit-peel.... A bit resiny and oily..... Nicely hopped and a good balance to it.
