Quick RB taste at CBC Clerkenwell. 50cl bottle (I think) pours a fizzy dark orange with some frothy, white head. Nose is nice, malt, grist, flowers, funk, lightly vegetal, white pepper. Flavor is nice, lemon, some light grist, yeast, a touch dusty, mild guava, a little marmalade, hints of sulfur. The finish is very spritzy, on the very of being hard but not quite, a touch butter here too. A lot happening.

May 2017 - Paper wrapped cork and cage bottle shared at One Canada Square. As ’Reninge Bitter Blond à Lambiek’, 2013 vintage, 8%. Amber orange, translucent, foamy light brown head. Aroma is lambic, metallic, peachy, musty, apricot. All sorts of nice lambic stuff going on. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is peachy, lemon, sawdust, musty with a light acidity. Very nice indeed. (8-4-8-3-17=4.0)

October 2017 - Bottle share at Magic Dave's Leaving Tea Party. Thanks to Paul. I like this beer but I think it's showing some variability. The other bottle we shared had funked up more than this one. Still, very nice. (7-4-8-4-15=3.8)

Robe orange foncée, aspect boisé. Petit gushing quand le bouchon saute. Mousse blanche abondante, aérée et légère. Tenue moyenne.

Bottle at home. On removing the wire cage the cork escaped with some force - watch your eyes! This also shook up a little sediment, but what the hey. Terrific aroma of rich, spicy hop and lemon, leather and tartness from the lambic. There is little sweetness to the taste, just a cristalline bitterness and a white wine acidity. Flavours of sugared citrus fruits and more tongue prickling acidity combine with a long, dry bitter finish. Very well-balanced and drinkable with lots of great flavours and sensations on the palate. Excellent.
