On tap @ Réservoir. Almost orange colored pour, much darker than any cream ale I’d seen before...white foam on top. Mostly toasty and bready malts to this, though a touch on the watery side. Hints of citrus and grass. Maybe a little bit of apple as well? The feel on the tongue is kind of flat, but it has decent enough malt character. Pretty toasty. Lots of bread, a touch of dough, and some cereal grains. Light bitterness and hop flavor. Okay...easy enough to drink.

[Draught at the brewpub, Sep.22] This was an IPA on Nitro that they called Cream Ale, not sure if that is always the case. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with a massive creamy white head that settles into a nice-looking average size creamy white head and lots of lacing on the glass. Fruity and hoppy aroma, a bit grassy, and with some pale malt and a nitro smell. Enjoyable flavour, hoppy and fruity with malt in the back and a moderate bitter finish. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. I usually stay away from Cream Ales as most are crap, in this case I’m glad I didn’t.

Carbonatation moyenne-faible, corps moyen.

On tap @ Réservoir, Montreal - Canada. Color: hazy AND cloudy (due to the nitrogen tap gas) blond beer with no carbonation and heavy white foam. Really appetizing. Smell: wheat and malty notes with a floral sensation. Taste: nice malty work, with spices notes. Great! Aftertaste: malty notes and good equilibrium with the bitterness. I recommend it!!!

Draft at the brewpub with Streets, PJ, Andrew, Brendan and Ricky. Pours a straw-colored body with thick white lacing. Aroma is offensive wet dog character, urine and wheat. Mouthfeel is creamy and soft, but does little to help this filfth go down. I find this pretty impressive considering the flavor profile is somewhat bland and yet really, geniunly offensive.

(printemps 2006)

On tap at Reservoir. After a beautiful cascade that settles out this pours a very clear amber orange with a medium sized beige head. Smells like warm musky malt, a bit of rodent urine, pretzels. Medium bodied, a touch astringent, thins out quickly with a bit of old lemony citrus. Malty and strange. Not a lot going on here, and what little goes on, is not overly present.
