On tap @ BQ Navigli.

Dark fruits, cocoa, dark brown with a thin head, medium body, carbonation is soft, taste is not very intense, cocoa and some candied sugar notes...i want to retry this beer obviously.

Very dark color with a medium beige foam; aroma of black olives and peated at first, then it turns in vanilla, dark chocolate, fruit in alcohol; at last fruity esters and a few spicy phenols and something balsamic. Medium body, sweet, low carbonation. it’s the strangest beer i’ve ever tasted, really hard to rate. Is it a good belgian? I don’t think so. Is it a good stout? I don’t think so. Is it a good beer? Maybe.

Pitch black, creamy, roasted malts, cocoa beans and vanilla. To me is more like a stout but nice.

[email protected] (Naviglio Grande 44) - dark ruby brown beer with a poor head retention; aroma of chestnuts, very toasted; medium-bodied, very sweet, lot of vanilla and more chestnuts in the finish

Bottle, gusher. Nearly black with light tan head. Caramel and brown sugar aroma. Hints of licorice. Flavour has caramel and dried fruit. Smooth with subtle alcohol warmth. Nice.

Bottle @ home. Opaque black color, small off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly dark malts, a light sweet hint, lightly liquorice, a bit dry finish. Decent body and soft carbonation. Decent beer.

Well, it sure is black. Almost no head. Licorice smell. Taste is a bit salty, a bit sour, a bit sweet.
