Draft at The Brewmaster's Tap Room. Clear caramel orange. Sticky lace. Resiny, pine. Dank. Citrus. Tasty. slowrunner77 (13397) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAR 7, 2017
Orange pour. Syrupy and oliy, some hot phenolic character, but not too over the top. Pine sap and candied citrus fruits, some alcohol. Big nose and big flavor. If you want a big hop bomb, this is your ticket. Capa (3715) - DC, Washington DC, USA - FEB 24, 2017
Clear orange. Powerful candied citrus, honey floral, pine, sweet malts. Very sugary with an intense hop profile. Syrupy body. Bitterness really shines through but restrained itself in the finish. Very nice sweet IPA. andrewje41 (4649) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - FEB 19, 2017
Draft pour at Special Brews. A beer from Reubens, that I have missed every year since it first showed up. How, I don’t know. Hazy golden orange pour with an oily, active fizz head. Aroma is full or tangerine, and mixed orange fruit. Flavor is cool, and very refreshing for the triple tag. Orange fruit dominated. Delicious example of the style. Very impressed here. One of the more pleasant Triple IPA’s I’ve had in recent memory. Excellent. Ibrew2or3 (8989) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 5, 2016
22oz bomber, courtesy of riversideAK , pours with a clear copper body that has gold edges and supports a thin near white head. The aroma offers up sweet malts, a caramel note, dash of butterscotch, pine hops, some grapefruit citrus hops and then booze at the end of the draw. The taste delivers bitter pine hops, some floral hops and citrus hops moving into resiny pine hoppiness. Behind the hops are plenty of sweet malts, caramel and a butterscotch note. The sweet malts and seemingly diacytle caramel like butterscotch is off putting to a certain extent. Good sipper but a bit off.

Poured a golden color with a white head. Aroma was of melony hops, booze, and sweetness. Flavor similar, melony and bitter, sweet boozey finish. djd07 (16452) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 25, 2016
Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a clear orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong pine resin and dank. Medium mouth, strong hop bite, very bitter, resin finish, very good. jgb9348 (6646) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - FEB 22, 2016
Very nice beautiful amber and copper glow with a cool orange tint and a very thinnish tan head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, alcohol, resin, spruce and a touch of perfume. Full-bodied; Very sweet flavour of resin, oranges, grapefruits, honey, syrup and flowers coupled with a deep and rather pungent hop bite of citrus and light pine. Aftertaste is deeply sweet and full of alcohol of course with a lot of pungent hop notes and a very well-balanced malt body with a good biscuity bite. Overall, a very nice Imperial IPA that shows well, is adequately balanced and yet still has a more sweet than bitter bite with bunches of alcohol. I sample this 65 cL bottle purchased from Pear Delicatessen in Seattle, Washington on 18-February-2016 for US$8,20 which leaked a little bit from the bottle, but not much and still had carbonation when opening it three days later, sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 21-February-2016. Bottle from Metropolitan Market. I’m getting smacked in the face by pine, and a little citrus. This is one of those beers when too much of something is a bad thing. The texture is decent. The flavor has such an acrid pine bite, it’s kind of upsetting. Yes, I get it, the beer is supposed to be bitter, but I’ve had some very bitter IPAs that don’t taste like something I clean my floor with. Ultimately, this is why I need to stay away from the "This beer is so fucking bitter your face will fucking melt off" kind of beers. Reuben’s has done a lot of great things, but this fuck up shouldn’t be repeated. Ultimately, it has no balance, nothing tastes good here, and this just ruins the experience of drinking a beer. When beer makes you angry, it’s not good. beastiefan2k (4231) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - FEB 13, 2016
Am I taking crazy pills. This particular draft at Beveridge Place is full of aspirin crushed pill aroma. Unbareable. Some sweetness on the flavor to hide this noxious aspect of the beer. I wonder if I have an off keg. Warming alcohol that actualy burns my throat. Dark golden amber body, clear.
