Rating #2049- 2015.09.27 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 151 - Draught at Taproom - Beautiful dark brown pour with a fairly foamy tan head with mild lacing. Aroma is earth, molasses, soft fruits. Taste is bubbly mouth feel, bold earth and coffee layered with hints of vanilla and chocolate. Nice creamy texture. Solid. mabuzzer (909) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - FEB 27, 2016
Keg @ Doghouse. Black with a thin white head. Cereal aroma, taste is cereal, biscuit, a little dark chocolate. Neither give away the ABV. Very tasty GlasgowTAD (1898) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - FEB 24, 2016

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some light chocolate and coffee notes, some light sweetness, and some dough with hints of bitterness. Flavor the same. Average texture. A solid stout, but not the best of the style. DSG (15237) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 16, 2015
[3/1/15] Draught at Reuben’s Brews in Seattle. Black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, some chocolate and a bit of fruity notes. Bittersweet roasty flavor with coffee, chocolate and a bit of fruitiness. Rather full-bodied.

Draft - Roasty chocolate. Deep jet black with a decent light brown head. Bitter roast malts and a long slick oatmeal finish. Not bad, but not as interesting as some of the others. WABeerFiend (426) - - JAN 17, 2015
39 IBU. 02.03.14 bottle date. Poured from a bomber into a tulip on 06.26.14. A: Cocoa, oatmeal, vanilla. It smells balanced and reminds me of porridge. A: 2 finger tan head. Midnight black body with some red. T: Oatmeal, chocolate, cocoa, and fig dominate. Vanilla is subtle. P: Smooth as silk. The oats are at work. Nice bubbles on the back end. It is a bit thin. O: All of the flavor notes are balanced. This is one of the best oatmeal stouts that I’ve had so far. There is no roastiness that distracts from the oatmeal, chocolate, and vanilla flavors. The ABV is not crazy high, but it’s hidden well all the same. It is so easy to drink that it feels like 5% ABV. It’s really a beautiful beer. The empty bottle is on my beer shrine. notalush (5922) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Tap at the brewery - overly roasty, overly bitter, quite astrigent imperial stout - rough and hard to enjoy, really - very harsh finish - pass. ACHops (1643) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 20, 2014
On tap @ Reuben’s. Pours inky black with thin dark mocha head. Aroma is faint medium dark chocolate malt, light sweet chocolate, and a bit of coffee on the back. Taste is super smooth creamy lightly roasty malt, coffee and bittersweet chocolate on the finish. Aroma and taste are a bit underwhelming here, but the body and mouthfeel on this are amazing. smallfry (169) - - NOV 2, 2014
(Tap) This is a great stout. Some astringency which is its biggest flaw. Slightly too bitter for my taste, but a great stout regardless.
