Very toasty and doughy on the nose with light citrus hops. Pours muddy reddish brown, nice off white head. Flavors of dough, toasted malts, caramel, light citrus notes. Nice smooth full bodied amber red ale.
Ratiung #2043 - 2015.09.27 - #CraftTakesSeattle Day 4, Beer 145. Clear amber/toffee coloured pour with a bubbly white head. Aroma has a hint of malty sweetness, and a strong citrus/floral hoppy aroma. Medium carbonation. Bubbly, dry mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Light bitterness in the finish, quite smooth. Hoppy punch and a marbley-malty sweet note. Delicious. luttonm (6273) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 9, 2015
Draft at Reuben’s. Copper-mahogany, a touch opaque. Off-white creamy foam. Clean, super tasty red. Crisp, coppery, metallic malts and robust hop. Very tasty, sharp, crisp. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 26, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Deep red, almost brown. Nutty, malt-forward brew. Flavor bitters it up a bit. Again, a little tinny. Filtered. I want more complexity. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 2, 2015
Draft. Clear dark amber body topped by small off-white body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, orange, light milk chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, chococaramel, light bread. Light-medium body, light stickiness. ACHops (1584) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 2, 2015
On tap @ Reuben’s. Listed as 6.2% here. Pours lightly hazy dark caramel with thin lacy off-white head. Aroma is lightly roasty dark caramel malt with nutty hazelnut undertones. Just a hint of citrusy hops. Taste is quite similar - hops much more present here. Juicy bitter dark citrus notes stand out and linger lightly bitter through the finish. Less malty, and more hoppy, than you’d expect for a red. Par for the course for Reuben’s, and very drinkable.

22 Oz bottle shared at Special Brews. Pours a dark amber color with a fizzy head. Flavor is nice. Very malty with some nutty flavor and a little rye, though I might just think the rye is there since I?m so used to it from these guys. Toasty flavor and a bit of caramel. Overall a good, tasty beer. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2013
Tap. Pours a clear dark reddish amber body with a small fizzy white head that fell to a thin ring. The nose is toasty and dry malt with a bit of hops to balance. Dry and toasty malt flavors, light to moderate hop bitterness, finishes with some earthiness and lingering hops. Decent run-of-the-mill Red Ale, they did a good job minimizing the sweetness. Super reddish amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice malt and hops balance this was a terrific beer.
On tap at Reuben’s brews, pours a cloudy, murky dark orangey amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of dry caramel malts, medium pronounced hoppiness, and some metallic overtones. Flavour of citrusy, floral hops, dry roasted caramel malts. Almost reminds me of a black IPA, due to the roast. Surprisingly excellent red ale – one of the best.
