Found some old ratings on paper from an unknown date... Pours to a nice glowing amber brown body with an ultra-thin white head. The aroma is extremely heavy caraway seeds. I love how fresh and bready and full of caraway this is. The flavor is caraway seeds and rye-like bread. The palate is lightly spicy and carbonated. The beer is pretty good overall.

Just stumbled across Reunion 08 Cellared very well. 5 years in the bottle and its still smooth as glass. Big flavor, great color, a keeper for sure

hotstuff (5258) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 7, 2013
Rated on 7-04-2009 (Bottle) This beer pours a very small fizzy tan head that quickly dissipated, transparent reddish hue body, virtually no lacing, and fast rising carbonation. The Aroma is roasted and caramel malts, lightly hoppy, rye, and spice. The Taste is sweet, semi-crisp, caramel malts, spicy, lightly hoppy, and some rye. The Palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, the taste of this beer lacked character and no WOW factor.

Rating from memory. Bought this beer to honor my father-in-law who passed away from Multiple Myeloma. Beer was full bodied and rather sweet. Not much else here. Pretty good, would drink again, but I don’t think I’ll have the opportunity.

Very good rye, and the rye is evident. A bit sweet for my tastes and not as much carbonation as would’ve been appropriate. The amber yellow color and overall appearance were appealing. Would try it again, but I guess that won’t happen.

Bottle. Poured a clear brownish-orange color. The head was a few fingers high and tan with a yellowish tint. Whiffs of cinnamon and milk chocolate covered cherry in the nose. Medium bodied and sweet. I tasted mostly cherry and toffee. Didn’t get any caraway, thankfully.

Reddish brown with almost no head leaving a small ring.Aroma of caramel malt spice vanilla candy.Taste is malty sweet spicy with some roasty dry finishing and lingering spice and vanilla carmel maybe a bit of fruit like sweet orange with the tart/roasty bitterning. It also had a stale offish yeast taste especially towards the finish making it just taste old.Im assuming this was brewed in 08? This also could use more carbonation the flatness left it with a little more sweetness, but this wasnt overyly sweet or syrupy, a pretty good malty sweet/spicy ale otherwise.

Tasted on 5/24/11 from a crown capped 22oz bomber bottle purchased at Armanetti. Pours clear auburn-red with a thick white head that slowly recedes to spotty lace. The nose is very malty with caramel, burnt bitterness, spicy rye, and a hint of vanilla. The flavor is somewhat sweet and very malty with caramel, vanilla, some roasted bitterness, and spicy rye. The body is full with average carbonation and a long spicy rye, caramel malt, and vanilla finish.

Smells delicious, with a thick swipe of hops and rye. Pours okay, red-brown but the head never materializes much past the thin-doughnut phase. Tastes malty and nutty, with the rye giving a nice bump to proceedings before the hops provide a mildly bitter finish. Good but a little flat and dull. (10/08)

Excellent fall beer. super malty and spicy but not unbalanced or too sweet. Had it first at the 2009 KC Beerfest and then again from a bottle.
