1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Cloudy mahogany with a measly film of bubbles. Unappetizing aromas of solvent, candy corn, banana, Pepsi and cheez-wiz. Flavor is no better, showcasing a big yeasty taste, banana, plum, black jellybeans, shoe polish, turpentine, creosote, rice vinegar, and deli roast beef that’s turned iridescent green with age. The palate is oily and prickly with CO2, yet there is no foam or lace. What a fucking disaster.
"maybe a bit old. an oddly sweet metalic scent. dark brown. medium bodied and sweet. touch of sour in the flavor with little belgian. a bit of a mess of flavors. i’m not a big fan of bison, and this definitely doesn’t change that Westmeister (2129) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 25, 2014
Ale Alpharetta. Apparently someone was digging around in the cellar. Belgian scotch ale. Can’t say that I’ve seen this mash up before. Big raisin, plum, belgian yeasty esters. Light bodied light medium sweet. Ok. Age didn’t do it bad though. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - NOV 21, 2013
