Draft at Fermentation. Deep amber brown pour with a white head. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malts, vanilla with light hints of spice. Flavor follows the nose with a touch more noticeable spice. Kind of a weak mouthfeel, otherwise not bad. DocLock (11189) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Bomber from Capone’s. Pours turbid deep chestnut with minimal tan head. Nose is malty, with notes of cacao, vanilla, brown sugar. Tastes rich, very cacaoey, with roasty malt, nuts, brown sugar, and vanilla notes. Complex on the palate, and above average density. This one is a great ale. slang (654) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - AUG 21, 2012
bomber. Rich brown ale, average grey/white head. Sweet booze nose hinted w/ cinnamon & spice. Taste is sweet & so smooth. The layers of vanilla, chocolate, & hops are divided by continual cinnamon and alcohol. Very delicious & exceptionally well done. LtDan (1808) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Appearance: Pours a dark amber hued brown with a quickly subsided head.Butters (4062) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - AUG 20, 2012
Aroma: Cinnamon raisin toast, vanilla and some banana esters.
Taste: Sweet dark bready malt, cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate cover banana.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodies with prickly bubbles.
Overall: Super tasty, on the sweet and malty side of the spectrum.
Clear brown. Don’t know why this is split from last year’s batch. The cinnamon i guess. Pretty nice. Not overly done on the spice or heat. The cinnamon is subtle. Much more so than Cocoa Mole. Very nice and surprisingly smooth.

Tastes like cherry cola. Smells like cherry cola would smell if it didn’t have that strongly chemical nose, and all that carbonation mucking things up. End of the day, its a beer I’m not nearly as impressed with as I was with the 2011 version. mwbrady12 (469) - Orlando, Florida, USA - AUG 18, 2012
Strong aroma and taste of cinnamon with an amber brown pour and basic mouthfeel.

Pours brown with no head. Taste is huge spice in the front, slightly mellowed finish. Very close to a belgian style. Pretty good stuff. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - AUG 17, 2012
22oz bottle. gold foil wrapped. Vintage 2012. Same match up with Shmaltz as last year. This year is different, cinnamon as opposed to chili pepper, but again this one brewed at Terrapin (the other, same recipe, at Shmaltz). Dark medium brown color. no head. Appearance differs from the Shmaltz Brewing Version. Aroma of Spiced chocolate, toasted malts, candied roasted nuts, spice cake, loads of vanilla. Very sugary & nutty nose. Flavor is a medium bodied sweet malt, light fizz. Flavors of sweet malts, spice cake crust, loads of sweet cocoa, chocolate bread pudding. Finishes with a cream topped winter dessert character. Even the Yeast notes are unique to this beer, adding the Terrapin flavor element. Not as much cinnamon flavors as the Shmaltz brew, this one had much more vanilla.

Very dark brown pour with a thick tan head. Aroma is cinnamon, caramel, chocolate and bread. Taste is the same with some vanilla. Nice dessert.
