On tap at Suttree’s High Gravity Tavern. pours a dark, dark brown. I thought this was intended to be a stout judging by its appearance. The aroma is very sweet with suggestions of cola, brownies, raisins and fig. The palate is bubbly, not what I was expecting and the flavor is very sugary. It doesn’t become offensive in a small serving, but it’s hard for me to really enjoy. I’m reading the description now that states cinnamon was used, but I didn’t get that. I definitely got the chocolate and vanilla though. While not bad, I probably won’t be getting this one again. smith4498 (3646) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - SEP 24, 2012
Doing a side by side tasting with the Shmaltz version. Appearance - T: dark caramel color with thin tan head. S: a little darker brown than the Terrapin version with a larger tan head. Aroma - T: mostly chocolate, vanilla and toasted malts with some caramel and cinnamon. S: similar aromas to the Terrapin but with cinnamon being more dominant. Flavor: T: toasted malts, chocolate and caramel with some vanilla, cinnamon and nuttiness. S: cinnamon, toasted malts and chocolate with some vanilla and nuttiness. Mouthfeel - T: medium body with average carbonation. S: medium body with softer carbonation and creamier mouthfeel than the Terrapin. Overall I liked the Terrapin version better. Brown (tea-like) pour with a tan head. The aroma has mild cinnamon and cocoa. It has a medium body with creamy texture and lively carbonation. The taste is similar to root beer candy with a little warmth and a dry finish. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - SEP 21, 2012
22 oz. bottle via trade with smith4498 - Pours a reddish-brown color with a 2/3 finger thick light tan head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is cola, light cinnamon, and caramel. The vanilla and light chocolate comes out in the flavor. Medium body. A good beer. Thanks Jason. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - SEP 21, 2012
9/21/12. On tap at Kickback’s. Dark brown pour with a small khaki head that fades. Strangely fruity and dusty aroma that reminds me of that fake smoke inside of haunted houses. Sweet chocolate and that weird dusty aspect again with some cinnamon. I don’t love it.

Tasted on 9/19/12 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Midtown. Pours deep molasses brown with a thick beige head that slowly recedes to fairly thick lace. The nose is dominated by sweet chocolate syrup and vanilla with just a touch of sweet cinnamon candy. The flavor is plenty sweet with the vanilla and milk chocolate syrup taking over, and a nice dose of cinnamon that appears as sweet up front and more spicy on the back of the palate. The body is full with average carbonation and a long vanilla, milk chocolate syrup, and spicy cinnamon finish. TheBunnyGirl (1) - Lighthouse Point, Florida, USA - SEP 18, 2012 does not count
"I want to marry this beer!" I could not stop proclaiming this. bubbleflubber (2227) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Brewgrass 2012 - pours mahogany with a fluffy tan head that leaves wispy lace. Lots of vanilla to the nose. Cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel and vanilla sweetness with a spicy dry finish. Awesome sticky, yet light palate. Very, very good brew!

Pours mahogany with a small beige head. Smells of chocolate and hints of cinnamon. Taste is subtle cocoa, vanilla, and cinnamon. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Terrapin Reunion ’12 finishes with some cinnamon dryness. keepersj12 (3117) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - SEP 12, 2012
A brown ale, Oy Vie? Don’t Passover this beer or Jew’ll be sorry. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla over a malt base. The flavor has the same, lots of vanilla, and a bit of cinnamon. Nicely balanced for a smooth drink. Shalom.
