Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and caramel, leading to a sweet lightly bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 16, 2009
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear pale amber with a small, rough off-white head. Roasted malty nose. Medium body, some roasted malts but in a dry fashion. A little hops in the finish. A dryish Dunkel. 161209 j12601 (11943) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - OCT 31, 2009
Bottle. Pours a clear crimson ruby brown with a thin beige head. Cloying caramel right up front. Really sweet aromas. More caramel on the body, but a lot of emptiness and stale malt. A bit of cardboard and light bitterness on the finish.

Bottle: Glowing ruby brown with a rusty orange hue and an off white film of head. Clean toasted Munich malts- dry with a lightly sweet bready heartiness. Creamy light body. Clean flavor with toasted rounded Munich malts. Some mild raisin & brown sugar maltose character. A standard flawless classic Dunkel profile, but nothing standout. xnoxhatex (1305) - Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA - AUG 5, 2009
Bottle from Tiffany’s in Kalamazoo, MI. Dark brown with red tint and medium, creamy beige head. Aroma is slightly sweet and red fruit with some grain, a little bit of stinkiness, some nuttiness. Flavor is medium sweet and minerally, red fruit, grain, bread and nuttiness. Medium to light body, slightly watery with chalkiness. No bad, a little off though.

Bottle. Pours a near-perfect, for a dunkel, clear, slightly red, dark brown with a fantastic thick tall foamy beige froth 4.5. Aroma of hay, munich malts, sweet and nutty, hint of chocolate. Flavor follows, dark but light and drinkable, not terribly sweet either, earthy, chocolate, bread and hay, nutty, fairly bitter finish. Watery body, med/light, slightly heavy but with low carbonation and no stickiness making it easy to drink. Satisfying. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - JUL 28, 2009
Bottle; poured a dark auburn with a khaki colored head. Aroma was quite nice; doughy, caramel, nuts with a bit of cocoa dust. Flavor was not as good; dry and malty. Alot of chocolate malt with a good dash of mineral water. Some earthiness and caramel, with a small, but noticeable hop presence in the finish. Palate was at times a bit on the watery side. Ok, but expected more after the solid aroma. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - JUL 24, 2009
Bottle. Pours a mahogany body with a tan lacy head. Dry fruity floral body with a lame caramel malty sweetness and earth y bitterness. A bit of dingy chocolate malt dry and a bit grain y. Thin and simple. bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUN 28, 2009
Bottle. Caramel and milk chooclate in the aroma. Caramelly malty flavor with a chichory bitterness. Just a bit sweet. This beer is a bit of an old mans’ drink. FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 16, 2009
500ml bottle (BeerAngel.de)
Deep red, large doughy head. GRainy nutty arona. Full palate. Big roasty toasty taste, almost buttered, with a dollop of cream and jam.Pleasant bitterness too, this is full-bodied, and tasty, yet delightlyfully refreshing. Dunkel as it should be.
