thedm (6184) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 1, 2005
This bottled brew marked Batch L4146 poured a very large sized head of tan colored foamy fine to medium sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent softly carbonated caramel brown colored body and a good lacing. The aroma contained mild malty notes. The mouth feel was sweet and initially tingly with a lingering sweet mild caramel mild dark malt aftertaste. The flavor was nice for a Dunkel typical of the German style malty with sweet mild dark brown beer malts.

Caramel/toffee malts with some lightly roasty coffee and chocolate. Moderately robust hop bitterness noticable in the finish. Quite satisfying sessionable brew.

Skidds (252) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 20, 2009
Poured a light red/brown with a foamy, nicely laced off-white head. A lot of malts on the nose with notes of coffee, caramel, roasted nuts and chocolate in the flavour. Smooth, bitter and mildly spicy finish.

Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - JUL 24, 2009
Bottle. Pours a mahogany body with a tan lacy head. Dry fruity floral body with a lame caramel malty sweetness and earth y bitterness. A bit of dingy chocolate malt dry and a bit grain y. Thin and simple.

PilsnerPeter (3046) - Flushing, New York, USA - SEP 16, 2009
Bottle: Glowing ruby brown with a rusty orange hue and an off white film of head. Clean toasted Munich malts- dry with a lightly sweet bready heartiness. Creamy light body. Clean flavor with toasted rounded Munich malts. Some mild raisin & brown sugar maltose character. A standard flawless classic Dunkel profile, but nothing standout.

cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 6, 2010
Bottle served in a dimpled mug. Pours near clear brown with amber-orange hues. Short off-white head and decent lace. Aroma is sweet, malty, and little barnyard. Mildly sweet flavor. Medium body, prickly carbonation, and a malty finish. This goes down smooth.

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - AUG 2, 2012
Bright copper red color with tan sheen. Dark berry fruit, fruit cake, spicy caramel, light roast aromas. Light bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Lightly sweet caramel, toast, chocolate flavors--not bad
