Michael27 (2358) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 21, 2017

Some glasses... from Tap at Gasthaus Fetz in Götteldorf. Sadly poured with almost no head. Aroma of malts, bread. Clear amber colour. Malty taste. Nothing special but quite süffig through the extreme low carbonation.

Bottled (4.5 % abv, from landbierparadies). Amber colour, small white head. Bottle was full until the cap. Aroma is bready, grainy, some old maltiness, and mild wooden notes. Flavour is grainy, floral, sweet malts, and some herbal notes. A bit rye bready too. Mild lactic and wooden notes in the finish. No proper BBE marked apart from April 28th (years go 2011-2014, but no cut...). Probably a rather old bottle.

kappldav123 (6133) - GERMANY - NOV 1, 2014
Bottle bought at Landbierparadies Nuremberg. Looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, brownish, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, light hints of caramel. Soft-malty finish, light earthy, quite drinkable. Not bad!

TAR (2787) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - MAY 22, 2014
Fresh bottle in May 2013, best by July 2013: Hazy pumpkin. Wispy eggshell foam. Curiously amiss aromas of paint, gummy candy, artificial grape, orange soda, candle wax, and diacetyl. Flimsy body. Scant carbonation. Oppressive note of iron combines with jelly candy and a fatiguing saccharin sweetness. Very sour and astringent and 100% devoid of malt and hop presence. Finishes with the faintest hint of breadcrust, but otherwise non-beery with rampant DMS, gummy candy and paint. Well, if you spend enough time in Franconia, you’ll encounter your fair share of duds. But a dud of this magnitude is quite rare, as it’s so foul it evokes light-hearted laughter instead of pure disappointment. What the hell happened here and how is this brewery still in business? Truly mind-boggling.

Shaney (2423) - Köln / Cologne, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2013

3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 19, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2013 fresh bottle. dull and peaked orange body with a small off-white head. fusel alcohol, paint, rotting apples, brandy and malt liquor-esque ethanol / corn aroma. medium body, mostly dry, medium-low bitterness, starchy, pasty yeast texture with high acid. isovaleric acid infection. oily, sweaty, horribly dirty.

ganache (6057) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 23, 2012
Bottle by 28.11.12. Nose has a mashy-malty grain profile and is very sweet, almost candyish; pours a pretty light copper with a fizzy off-white head. Light, thin body has that candyish sweetness but it amazingly stops just before it cloys. Clean malt flavor with a hint of florality but otherwise no frills, very simple but very successful and repeatable.

Mariusz (12080) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - SEP 19, 2012
Light amber colour with a thin white head. Malty and floral hoppy aroma. Malty flavour with nice grassy and fruity hops, some bread and herbs.
