My Bottom Line:bursprak (3285) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 29, 2014
This luxurious sipper weaves a complex web of flavours spanning from molasses, dark chocolate, blackberry fruitiness, roasted coffee beans and resinous hop bitterness, in a silky, rich mouthfeel licked by alcohol heat.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the pure black.
-This is complex and has no dominating flavors.
-Vinous moments work very well with the monster’s residual sugars.
-Warm temperatures make it become decadent.
Bottle @ Voldby. Jet black pour with a tiny beige head. Nose has ground coffee, light tartness, some dark chocolates and some ash. Taste has a light tartness lingering, vanilla and licorice. Has some port vibes to it. Niller (1718) - Hammel, DENMARK - JUN 29, 2014

500ml bottle, again graciously shared by Alberto (ippopotamo36) as the finale of our Belgrade tasting. Very dark brown-black. Small tan foam. Huge aroma, milk chocolate, black licorice. Licorice and bitter cocoa finish. Some hops come through as green herb. A very rich chocolate drink. Alc is surprisingly well hidden. Menthol warming. Raspberry chocolate up front, gets more complex as you sip.
