Draft @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Pours a slightly hazy dark brown amber color with no head. Has a fruity woody roasted dark fruit and caramel aroma. Sweetish warming slightly roasted malty dark fruit flavor with hints of caramel. Has a warming alcohol malty caramel finish with hints of dark fruit in the aftertaste. Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Hazy, dark brown body with almost no head. Aroma is dominated by smooth alcohol but also quite strong sense of dark dry fruit, malt, caramel and chocolate. Flavor is mild alcoholic, dry fruit, sherry, sweet malt, caramel, wood and quite bitter. Big on flavors, strong on aroma, full bodied, long bitter finish, smooth and warming – this is a BIG beer. gunnfryd (15509) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 13, 2010

On tap at KØ-10. A hazy, dark brown drink with a little hint of off-white head. The aroma is like a bock, only many times as intense, caramel, dried fruits, chocolate and a good dash of alchol. Not as intensely alcoholic as one might expect considering the (supposed?) ABV. The flavor on the other hand is much more alcoholic, almost burning warmth in the mouth after a little while. Full-bodied and sweet, with caramel, some chocolate and dried fruits. Long finish tasting like a super-suped up bock, and really warming. Overall, a beer too focused on alcohol, but still it’s a lovely one. 100506 Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 29, 2010
On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque orangey brown with no head whatsoever. The aroma is almost entirely boozy with pleasant woody accents. Very full-bodied and completely flat, syrupy, wood and Sherry notes with some chocolate in there as well. Very hot alcohol finish. But all in all a surprisingly pleasant experience. 070510 MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 18, 2010
A Mes rate. Draught at Københavns Ølfestival 2010stobbe74 (3790) - DENMARK - JUL 3, 2010
Superb stuff. Incredibly smooth considering what it is. Drinks more like 15 than 35%, impressive alcohol hiding skills Alex... A chocolate and coffee dream, proper full on mad and bad. Fruity liquorice and the hit of bitterness is awesome, just awesome. It sits perfectly alongside the big spicy alcohol. Huge brown sugar finish that leaves me licking my lips. Very little burn for a beer of this size. Brilliant.
Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2010, TAP1. Pours a hazy mahogany beer with no head. The aroma is sweet, fruit, plum, prune and alcohol. The flavor is sweet, alcohol, fruit and prune. The palate is sweetness and sticky and burning in the throat from the alcohol. Overall a special beer with a very high level of alcohol. madmitch76 (26455) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2010
6th May 2010. Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy brown beer. No head and no carbonation. Rich malt - toffee caramel with the caramel being a little burned. Very porty. Dark cherry and some generic black fruit. A little spice. Finishes dry and fruity and warming. Hides it 35% very well indeed - in fact comes over as half that abv. Good stuff - can’t wait to try the Habanero version!
