Draft. An unclear brown beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has strong notes of alcohol as well as medium notes of caramel, prunes, and dark fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, caramel, prunes, and wood. The body is strong, and the alcohol burns in the throat. Thanks Alex for the big taster of this fine beer. joergen (29216) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 7, 2010

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2010 Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Dark brown, no head. Striking aroma of aniseed and licorice. Very sweet with thick, syrupy mouthfeel. Lot of licorice. The immense bitterness is mellowed by alcohol and sweetness. More beer brandy than beer. madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2010
6th May 2010. Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy brown beer. No head and no carbonation. Rich malt - toffee caramel with the caramel being a little burned. Very porty. Dark cherry and some generic black fruit. A little spice. Finishes dry and fruity and warming. Hides it 35% very well indeed - in fact comes over as half that abv. Good stuff - can’t wait to try the Habanero version! Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 29, 2010
On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque orangey brown with no head whatsoever. The aroma is almost entirely boozy with pleasant woody accents. Very full-bodied and completely flat, syrupy, wood and Sherry notes with some chocolate in there as well. Very hot alcohol finish. But all in all a surprisingly pleasant experience. 070510
