Black pour producing a small, short lived film of offwhite foam. Strange medicinal bitter aroma, with a roasty background. Taste is bitter chocolate and malty. Far from the best BIPA I’ve had, but it’s ok. Medium body and carbonation. Gorm (1899) - Sandnes, NORWAY - AUG 5, 2013

Small creamy shortlasting head. Aroma is rubber, dark fruits, hops, pine needles, licorice, dark malts, grass, dark sugar, hints of warming alcohol. Taste is grassy, dark malts, rubber, pine needles, bark, ashes, grass, alcohol, hops. Longlasting bitterness. Weird, and pretty boring and one dimentional taste.
Bottle shared at Olympen Friluft, july 2nd 2013. Black body, low beige head. Aroma of yeast, british earthy hops, pine. Taste is malty, chocolate, champignon, grass, licorice. Missing lots of the expected fruity hops. Good roasty bitterness, short malty aftertaste. A bit dissappointing in some ways, this beer just didn’t tick the right boxes for me. esp0r (2922) - NORWAY - JUL 7, 2013

Pours dark brown, black in glass, thin beige head. Smells of citrus zests, pine, grapefruit, hints of roast. Moderate to medium sweet, a quite large amount of toast, roasty malts, some fruity esters. Medium to heavy bitter, nice resins. Nice BIPA, hop aromas with nice malty body. How it should be
Tap at Brasserie 4:20, Roma, 22/06/13.
Light black with a good sized tan head.
Nose carries a good roast bite, bitter grapefruit, hops, orange.
Taste comprises tropical fruit sundae, hops, mineral notes, bready malts, grapefruit, light pine bite, touch of grass.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish.
Solid enough CDA, the 9% booze hardly came into play for me! gunnar (9231) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JUN 28, 2013
Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours pitch black with a big creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, liquorice and herbal hops. Taste is powerful roasty, thick oily mouthfeel, lots of bittering hops, piney and herbal, coffee and liquorice, very good, well hidden alcohol.
