Pours clear copper color with a small head. Apricot and some grape fruits on the nose, faint yeast and spices. Sour apricot and some faint grapefruits on the flavor, mild spice notes with wooden finish. Decent.
Draught @ 4:20, Rome as "Revelation Cat Brunello Lambic." Aroma has strong earthy notes and grapefruit. Also mild lactic tones. Flavour is tart with grapefruit, earthy notes, mild lactic notes and citrus. Quite close to some Belgian ones, could be less lactic though. PriorL (3068) - Gent, BELGIUM - DEC 31, 2014

APPEARANCE: clear darker blond beer, no head.
NOSE: sour, flat, fruity.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2015 As Brunello lambic on tap at Brasserie 4:20 7% aged in Italian red wine barrels - it has a soft chocolate, cork, musty cheese aroma with some vinegar. A great looking orange-gold with a nice head of foam. The taste was wow nutty almond at first then red wine before finishing on some woodsy barrel character. I am really digging this... Though I seem to be the first who ever got almond from this beer! One of my favorites.

At 4:20 pub in Rome on tap. Pours golden/orange cloudy, white medium bubble head. Nose: apricot, wine most, blue cheese hints. Mouth: wine most, thirst quencher feel, very pleasant gassy after taste. Bravo Alex!

Musty cellar notes and citrusy fruitiness delve into a vinous second half in this accomplished lambic experiment.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam stays atop the misty amber.
-This is far from palate blinding acidity-wise. Drinkability is thus very high.
-The Brunello is nicely harmonious with the base Boon lambic, even adding very pleasant character from aroma to finish.
-Mouthfeel is cushy, thanks to the cask conditioning and handpump serving.

27/12/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (handpump). Due differenti lambic invecchiati 24 mesi, rispettivamente da 4.5% (sample IX) e 6% (sample X). Dorata, lievemente torbida, schiuma bianca morbida, abbastanza persistente. Aroma classico da lambic, con note legnose ed erbacee. In bocca è acida ma senza eccessi, lievemente tannica quella da 4.5% decisamente più tannica l’altra da 6%, con un leggero amaro sul finale. Corpo medio, buona carbonazione. Il voto è una media tra il 3.8 della IX e il 3.4 della X.
