UPDATED: DEC 31, 2012 Bottle at home, thanks to Alex. Grapefruit slurpee nose, grass but mostly big citrus. Cloudy golden with a low lacy head. Tangy citrus hop flavors are intense but elegant. Not sweet, great citrus tang, lemon and grapefruit mostly, some light zest but not astringent. Very crisp, light, dry, and tasty. Amazing for 4.5%. Very well done.

Bottle courtesy of Alex420 - thank you! Part of a group tasting with the RB crew and staff at Birreria Paradiso Georgetown, thank you for volunteering! This was most people’s favorite of the night, certainly the best of the session beers. Although everyone liked the Nintendo labels, most pointed out that this dark purple label suggested something more like an imperial stout rather than a pale ale. Most people commented on the strawberry. marshmallow, perfume and other fruits in the aroma. All commented that the beer has a lot of flavor for a 4.5%er, with grapefruit and other citrus; one person found it too bitter. Very tasty. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 22, 2012
355mL thanks to Travlr via Alex. Pours full haze straw with weaker white foam. Yeast floaties. Nose is awesome : huge cantaloupe, lychee, peach, pineapple. Taste is soapy, quite bitter with some oil coating on the palate. Impressive still given abv. People seemed to be thrown off by the label. _angst_ (5008) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 22, 2012
Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours hazy pale yellow with a rather small frothy white head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is rather subtle with crackers, orange peal marmalade, old eggs, pine needles, grapefruit juice, green grapes, freshly cut grass, dill, lemon balm, white bread and hints of roses. Taste is bitter with grapefruit juice, lemon peal, crackers, freshly cut grass, lemon grass, lemon balm, dill, pine needles and fired apricots. Mouthfeel is crisp, tiny astringent and light bodied. Finish is dry and bitter with grapefruit rinds, dried apricots, lemon peal, pine needles, crackers, green grapes and lemon balm. Refreshing and quite good. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 20, 2012
Bottle at A Drink To The End Of Days, 121220. Hazy pale golden beer with a small white head. Hoppy floral aroma, fruity, bitter, grassy, notes of rotten eggs, citrus, hay, lemongrass, dandelions. Fresh hop flavor, citrus, pine apples, grapefruit notes, lemongrass, bitter floral notes, pears, orange peels, dandelions. Great amount of flavors considering the rather low ABV. Bitter hop finish with grass, dandelions and citrus.

Craft Clarkenwell. A sample bottle generously shared by Frederic and Tom - cheers guys! Light haze on this gold beer, little bubbly white head. Palate is light and crisp. Semi dry. Lovely fresh hops - Citra? Light but vibrant orange and lemon with a trace of skunk. Mild minerally crisp finish. A lovely pale ale. I’ve really missed Revelation Cat and Alex - they seemed to have all but disappeared over the 18 months. Hope this is the start of the comeback.
Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a somewhat rocky, off-white head. Smells fruity ad hoppy. Quite bitter and dry. Lots of hops aromas of spruce and pine mixed with citric fruits. Sweetness evolves towards the end. Tiny hints of a malty back bone. Medium to light bodied. High carbonation. Bitter and dry finish with a sweet and fruity hopsaromas. Thanks Alex!
