Bottle 375ml.
Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted, light heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange, notes of grape, wine and wood. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, and dry dry tart finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090515]

CBF09. 37.5 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Mild fruity and light peachy aroma. In addition the aroma has a light smooth wooden note. Yeasty and hoppy base flavoured. Sweet and fruity flavoured finish. Bitter and fruity lasting impression. I don’t really pick up the wood effect in the flavour for this one, yet I find it more balanced than the reference which must be due to the wood.

Bottled. A golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of grass, medium notes of malt, and light notes of wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and alcohol, as well as lighter notes of vanilla and over ripe fruits. The alcohol leaves a slight burn on the side of the tongue.

375 ml bottle. Dark amber color, medium off white head that settles quickly and leaves solid lacing. Aroma of vanilla, birch bark, citrus. Taste is very smooth, with lemon peel, more vanilla, caramel, and a bit of pine. Very nice.

Bottle at home ... amber ... big white head ... soft fruity peach ... little oxidisation in nose ... soapy fruity hop ... i think i might have kept this a little too long ... huge amount of mellon ...

omhper (25373) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 1, 2009
Bottled Hazy orange, small head. Slightly more lively then the reference version. There is a mere whiff of vanilla, then it’s more or less exactly the same as the reference beer. Barrel aging of double IPAs is always a silly idea.

madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2011
16th May 2009
Copenhagen beer festival. Very similar to the French oak version (which was in turn similar to the reference). Where the French was rounded off this is even softer and lacks the spciy finish.
