Copenhagen beer festival. Amber beer with a reasonable head. Unusual beer. A litte bit tart and a little bit syrupy. A small amount of citrus acidity. Warming!
31st January 2011
Piney spirity nose. Slightly dry palate. Pine and sweet orange, a little aniseed. Mild hop bitterness. Hides the alcohol reasonably well but a strange concoction.
375 ml bottle. The lightest of the four in color, massive tan ice cream cone head with great retention. Aroma of rising bread dough, slight citrus. Plenty more citrus in the taste, nicely bitter throughout without being overwhelming. Great body. My favorite of the series. cgarvieuk (27057) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 14, 2009
Bottle at home from my GBBF 09 haul ... copper with lots of tiny suspended bubbles ... thin white head ... sweet toffee orange nose ... fizzy ... bitter ... grapefruit ... some toffee ... quite a lot of pine hop ... lots of citrus peal ... odd but very nice ... oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 6, 2009
