COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Only the finest specimens of the classic American Newtown Pippin apple go into this single varietal. This apple was highly praised at the time of our country’s founding and here we are over 200 years later, still making cider from this exceptional apple. Bottle-conditioned and dry, please pour carefully.

My local cidery brews a newtown pippin so I was stoked to try this out. I was disappointed on the first note. Aroma of dead yeast and brown sugar. Clear appearance but not sure how. Almost undrinkable until I realized it tastes like hard Capri-Sun. That helped it down but didn’t resolve the fact that I’m supposed to be drinking cider. Maybe I got skunked but this tastes pretty bad.

22oz bottle in Seattle. Clearish white gold, a few bubbles. Clean fresh apple, medium- sweet, old school cider aroma with a little spice. Clean body, a little sweet, with a bit of vinegar and rising yeasty funk. Clean, good strong flavor, with a bit of interesting funk.

On tap at Rev Nat’s - Pours clear yellow. The aroma has clean dry apples, sweetness and mild spice. It has a light crisp body with a low amount of carbonation. The flavor starts with apples, skins and packs a bit of a bite. The finish has heavy crisp bite to it. Delicious.

22oz bottle pours a clear gold with some spitty, white head. Bright, juicy apple nose, estery, some sugar cane. Flavor is a bit of a let down, sweet and juicy but needs more acid.
