Not understanding these positive reviews. Perhaps it’s my palate. But the floral, citrusy notes don’t cooperate with the hops. It’s a poor, almost gross combination. Not a fan. shigadeyo (3739) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 19, 2013
UPDATED: APR 24, 2015 12/17/2013: Revolution A Little Crazy... Well, this beer tastes exactly like the style it?s labeled to be, a Belgian Pale Ale. At first sip, the Belgian yeast spice, caramel/fruitcake malt, and fleshy fruits come through and then the citrusy, melon, and FLORAL hops layer in on top. There is a suggestion of tropical fruits as well and the biterness level is moderate which is right on for the style. This beer is on point and quite easy to quaff, but nothing special and sadly, easily forgettable. 22 fl. oz. bottle shared by dirhauge. Score = 3.2. Thanks Paul! UPDATE 4/23/2015... Better out of the can. Score = 3.4. Sammy (12197) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 30, 2013
Brewed in March. A nice hop flavour with a moderate Belgian yeast. Altogether very drinkable. Some hop aroma. CanIHave4Beers (4184) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - NOV 26, 2013
Pours a pale golden color with a good head and nice lacing on the glass. TBone (17530) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 20, 2013
The aroma is floral & fruity in a very hop forward kind of way. It’s pungent and bright with just a light alcohol character.
The flavor is enjoyably bitter & plenty hop forward in a very fruity kind of way, lots o’ pineapple, mango & citrus... the beer comes off as a touch sweet, but all around packs a pretty nice hop profile.

Golden color, small white head. Gooseberry hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Gooseberry hoppy flavor too. Fruityness too. Nice.
Sampled at gabf. from my notes. pours a hazy orange with an off white head. citrus and spicy yeast taste Westmeister (2129) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - SEP 29, 2013
22 oz. Pours unclear orange with thin white head. Smell is citrus, a bit of spicy yeast with a bit of burnt rubber smell. Taste is a wallop of citrus, crisp malts, but its quickly washed out by a soapy, fruity, spicy yeast that leaves a residual sharp fruitiness on the tongue. Again the burnt aspects is there. The beer is not good as there is something just a bit unfitting with all the components and perhaps it’s infected. HighWine (959) - Whalezbro, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2013
Tap flight at the brewery. Light yellow gold pour. Perfume hop fragrance. Taste is very pleasant. Belgian yeast with bright, fruity hops. It’s great...great...great...and then the finish is a little weak. Thin bodied and flat on the end, other than that, quite good chinchill (4993) - South Carolina, USA - SEP 25, 2013
22 oz bottle dated 2013 served in a Belgian snifter.
A: deep orange-amber color with high clarity and a thin fragile head. Decent lacing.
Aroma & Flavor: With hops that make this citrusy and slightly grassy, and some Belgian yeast adding a touchs of nuttiness and funk, this has very good complexity in both aroma and flavor. Also has notes of tropical fruits. Mildly bitter. I enjoyed the aroma a bit more than the flavor, largely owing to the relatively disappointing aftertaste.
Feel: Medium-light body with medium+ carbonation.
O: a well-done and and refreshing Belgian-style pale ale. Very drinkable and rather aromatic for style. superspak (5591) - Michigan, USA - SEP 11, 2013
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of peach, mango, pineapple, lemon zest, orange zest, banana, tangerine, pear, apple, floral, grass, clove, pepper, light pine, light honey, and floral/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great citrus/tropical hop complexity with a moderate yeast and malt balance; and good strength. Taste of big peach, pineapple, mango, tangerine, banana, lemon zest, orange zest, clove, pepper, pine, floral, grass, bread, light honey, and floral/yeast earthiness. Moderate earthy tartness and spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of mango, pineapple, citrus zest, banana, clove, pepper, pine, floral, grass, light honey, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome balance and complexity of hop and yeast flavors; with a moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent Belgian pale ale! All around great balance and complexity of hop, yeast, and malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.
