COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amarillo Hero, our newest member of the Hero League, showcases the hop’s intense citrus and floral notes. A simple, delicate malt bill allows the fruit basket of aromas to take center stage while a touch of Citra and Mandarina layered in amplify this Hero’s juicy characteristics. Clean bitterness rounds this beer out resulting in a crisp, refreshing IPA.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Redstone Liquors, Stoneham. Appearance is lightly hazy (fine white particulates) yellow-orange with minimal sparkle, massive 4+ finger width rocky, foamy white head with decent retention and fair sudsy lacing. Aroma is dank resin over citrus. Taste is lightly bitter dank resin with mild citrus, late cracker malt. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with foamy texture, average carbonation and mild bittersweet finish as taste. Overall, the aromas and flavors are a bit more muted than the other IPA's in this "hero pack." Not bad, but doesn't stand out.

Slightly hazy, gold pour with a rocky, white head. The aroma has big citrus notes of orange and lemon. It has a medium body with somewhat oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is bitter and lip-smacking good with a semi-dry finish.

Another very good beer in the hero series although this one isn't quite as good as the Galaxy version. The Hops in this one are good though not as fresh as in the galaxy and sweetness is more prominent than the Galaxy so it's not quite as balanced. Still very good and quite drinkable.

Can from Merchants, for the birthday.. Aroma is tropical fruit, pine, malty stickiness, sweeter than I expected from Amarillo hops. Appearance is amber golden, clear, off white head. Taste is pine, citrus, tropical fruit, some malt but not too much, crushable. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light crisp carbonation, citrus pine aftertaste. Overall, it's pretty tasty.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 8/8/2017. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, mango, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance. Slight lingering hop astringency through the glass, but not an issue. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.2%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, despite the fairly aggressively bitter/drying finish. Very vibrant and dank hops that feel pretty earthy, green, and fresh; with a nice bready malt backing, with no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering.

Taste: crisp, bitter, dry hop, tangy notes with clean finish. Flower, earthy, hop nose. Amber, clear, tan head some lace. Medium body. Hop oils do not linger too long on tongue
