Bottle. Dark dark cola brown. Aroma is sweet vanilla, and bourbon. The taste adds marshmallow, coffee, caramel, and rich roasty syrupy malts. The palate is rich and smooth with a buttery end. Top notch. Wow.

On tap at brewery in snifter. Black light brown head. Espresso nose, some malted barley, medium body, light bitterness, chocolate finish. Slightly sticky mouth feel, smooth, hint of acidity. Nice. Slight Bourbon sweetness. AWISLguy (3046) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 19, 2015
650 ml bomber from Cork Keg in Rockford. No bottle date. Pour is opaque black with a cream colored head. Some spotty lacing. Aroma has green coffee, chocolate, coconut and bourbon. Taste is of sweet chocolate, roast, vanilla, some lactose, some oaky-ness. Raw more than smooth; very tasty. Medium to full bodied. Finishes fairly well blended between the bitter and the sweet - the raw coffee vs the bourbony vanilla. More and more oaky down through the glass. This is very nice. Aging(?) maybe would smooth it for an extra notch. 15.4

Bomber - very well done. Gorgeous pour with foamy sudsy off white head. Nose of chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Taste is very well balanced with similar notes and a touch of vanilla. Lacks the metallic taste that many porters have. Tad thinner than others but does not take away from anything.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2015 Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Joes. Opaque pitch black color, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, huge coffee espresso and bourbon, chocolate and dark chocolate. Oh yeah I love this. Taste malts, roast, dark chocolate, bourbon, espresso, coffee, bitter and chocolate sweet-bitter. Wow this beer is packed with everything I love in a beer! Great stuff! Only one thing that could be improved imo: the body is a bit thin. Incredible that they got this much aroma and flavour in an 8.5% ABV beer but I need this to be more creamy and thick. Still, this is lovely. Delightful.
