On tap at Revolution. Black with an average sized head, good lacing. Aroma is of toasted barley, wood, oats, slight coffee. Flavor is a touch on the sweet side and balanced out nicely by the oat/toast. Smooth, small floral finish. b3shine (9027) - Indiana, USA - JUL 20, 2013
Draft to taster at Revolution. Looks good for the style; a dark and fairly opaque cola with beige lacing. Smells solid; dark malt, chocolate, roast, and oats. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A solid oatmeal stout.

Enjoyed at Revolution Brewpub in Chicago, IL while celebrating my birthday. I didn’t take notes while imbibing, but I remember this being a pretty great oatmeal stout, sticks to the style but is done exceptionally well. Revolution continues to do a great job w/ their brews! Tap flight at the brewery. Ink black pour with a light brown head that recedes quickly. Looks still in the glass. Burnt wood aroma. Taste is roasty with a silky quality from the oats. Floral hops present themselves at the end of the taste and sweet roast emerges after the finish. Velvety mouthfeel. Well crafted. ChiGuy68 (605) - Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2013
Tasted on tap at revolution. Dark brown/black color with a thick frothy brown head. Robust aroma with a rich smooth taste. An excellent oatmeal stout.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, a smooth bitter chocolate, with light vanilla, coffee grinds. In mouth, a smooth sweetish milk coffee with light vanilla notes, malty chocolate, nice and sweet. On tap at brewpub, May 21 2012. Tooch4321 (11) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 16, 2012
On draft at Rev. Pours dark black with a thin tan head, smells of oats, dark chocolate and roast. Taste is a bit sweet dark chocolate upfront followed by some nuttiness and oats. Finish is all roast with a coffee bitterness, body is a bit thin, but the complexity makes up for it. Very solid, I’m surprised I never tried this the first time around.
