Sampled on draft at the brewpub. Poured into an unmarked bottle pint glass. Coffee Eugene pours a pitch black in color with about a fingers worth of toasted marshmallow colored head. The nose is packed full of iced coffee goodness, with subtle vanilla and chocolate in the background. Flavor is again packed with iced coffee, vanilla, and rich chocolate. This actually has quite a bit more chocolate in it than the regular Eugene, it balances the coffee well. Mouthfeel is medium, maybe a little on the lighter side, dry, and has a long finish. Another solid beer from Revolution. This is a great variation on an already great base beer. Supposedly they are planning on bottling this....can’t wait.
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2015 Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, nice. Appearance is dark brown, light brown head. Taste is fresh coffee, balance, roasted malt. Aroma: Coffee, chocolate and lactose creamer. Aroma smells wonderful.
Taste: Really well done creamy chocolate and creamer with prominent but not overbearing coffee.
Palate: Creamy and full-bodied.
Overall: Excellent coffee porter, beautifully balanced with lots of complexity. Love it!
Draft. From notes. Kinda gross. Reminds me of coffee made in the morning then left out all day. Yeah, like day old nastyass coffee.

Pour on tap at the Beer Hoptacular, dark reddish black pour with khaki colored head, aroma brought notes of nice coffee bean, espresso, roasted malts into some chocolate, some slight spicy notes with some sweet caramel. Taste was a mix of caramel, toffee, slight dark fruit and anise into roast, coffee and chocolate, finishing sweet. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 12, 2015
On tap at Dutch’s. Near-black color.. Kind of clear red around the edges. Little tan head, leaving decent bits (somewhat loose bits) of lace. Great coffee aroma up front, some dark chocolate, moderately roasty. Bigger bitter taste, lighter sweet. Seems a bit more bitter than regular Eugene to me, but also with a very pronounced coffee addition, which I’m loving. Medium-plus body, mild chewiness. Kind of mild slick. Lighter, kind of crisp carbonation. Great coffee-forward porter... No shortage of coffee here, and I very much appreciate that ARH (1125) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 7, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2016 On tap, poured into a shaker. The aroma is a bright roasted coffee hint with a light chocolate backing note as well as cookie dough. The aroma of lactose sugar strengthens later in the drink. The beer is dark and opaque with a brown-black hue and a tan, soapy head. A moderate webby lace is left on the glass and the medium soapy ring and splotchy surface slowly dissipate until just traces of each remain. The taste is medium sweet up front and medium bitter at the finish. A fizzy carbonation helps to thin out the syrupy texture. The medium-full body contains plenty of fresh roasted coffee, ground coffee beans, chocolate, and a hint of nuts. The finish is syrupy with notes of dark chocolate and a light spice (anise maybe). The aftertaste is coffee, roasted nuts, lactose, and a light licorice; it’s lightly astringent and sticky, and doesn’t last too long. GRM (4018) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 31, 2014
