Citrusy, fruity and peppery aroma and taste. I would have preferred this one a little more drier than it was. It became a little overwelming instead of refreashing like a saison should be. jh773 (321) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Served in a tulip glass at the Revolution brewpub in Logan Square. Smells vaguely floral. Tastes like apples and spice, like apple cider but not sweet at all. Finishes very dry and spicy. I like this one a lot. dutch23mp (320) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - SEP 24, 2014
The tulip glass as suggested is the perfect choice. The aroma is one the most complex I have recalled. caramel with nuts, perhaps bread as well. Bit of citrus to the hops with a floral aroma the alcohol is very well hidden. Golden color with small white head nothing spectacular. medium light bitter taste seems very sweet. full bodied beer that means business thick slick texture with a long finish. Overall probably a great beer if it is your style. Unfortunately it is not mine. I don’t really care for a spiced type brew so it is my personal taste that score this so low for a quality brew timc100 (320) - Park Ridge, Illinois, USA - SEP 7, 2012
S: Belgian yeast, lemon citrus, clove, banana, and orange peal - all musty and spicy
A: Hazy amber, a head that quickly dissipates leaving little laciing
T: Very tasty! Belgian yeast and spice, orange and lemon
P: Fizzy carbonation, medium bodied
O: This is a bold saison, kudos Revolution. Newk (299) - - MAR 4, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 20, 2012 poured from tap at revolution. Poured into a tulip with a slightly hazy yellow/gold color and a nice head.
Very good aromas of spice, lemon peels, and citrus notes. Well balanced, but lacking a bit of depth.
Well balanced with a smooth medium feel. Flavorful with notes of citrus, spices and some navel oranges.
This version is at 8.1% and it’s not really noticeable. A more citrusy take on a saison. The feel is a bit lighter than I’d personally like, but this is a very good and enjoyable beer.

Pours a cloudy pale gold with a huge white head. Not much aroma here, a little spice and not much else. Drinkable, but not my style. dhatton (241) - Mendham, New Jersey, USA - NOV 30, 2014
On tap, pours a clear orangish golden color with dense white head. Decent sticky lacing, but limited carbonation. Yeasty aroma intertwined with spicy cloves and overripe banana. Taste is in line with the nose, yet some sweet tropical flavors are present. Palate is left with a resinous sticky sensation. Other Revolution beers I’ve tried seemed more refined. bhiner41 (194) - Darien, Illinois, USA - AUG 10, 2013
Beautiful hazy golden color, white head. Funky smell almost like a sour. Definite notes of cardamom up front with a very dry finish. Lively mouth feel, apart seems like it needs a hit of lemon to finish the taste.

Had this on tap at The Curragh Irish Pub in Skokie, Illinois. Made notes on the spot using BeerJournal app for Android. Served in a tulip glass. Poured a dark golden clear. Medium head with medium dissipation time. Low carbonation. Taste is slightly bitter and astringent. Hoppy, with lingering bitter aftertaste.
