@ Hyde Park Wine and Spirits / Cincinnati OH --- Cloudy light amber with a big 3" head that is slow to drop, bands of lace. Taste is a combination of sweet malt and floral hops. In the palate, a slight sour/sulfur taste is added to give it a distinctive European flavor. Pour is a murky tan with a large white head. Aroma is very fruity with some yeast and hops. Flavor starts out with very spicy hops and follows with a bit of lemon grass. Finish is a bit dry and thin. On tap at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL., and served to house stemware showing a hazed, orangy gold color, modest, soft white head foam that reduced quickly to a ring & film, and left some light, wavy lacing on the glass. The nose was light yeast, mid-fruit as apricot/peach, citrus as orange, and light spiciness. The flavor presented soft malt, some alcohol warmth, a moderate, lingering hop bitterness, with earthy & peppery notes. Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a clear orange color with a white head. The aroma was of hops and yeast with a medium body and a slick texture with flat carbonation. On tap at the brewpub. Orange hazy. Nice head of medium bubbles which dissipates rather quickly. Fresh, fruity nose w/ a bunch of a lavender baby powder character. Light to medium bodied. Lightly tart and crisp w/ just a hair to much bitterness (which is really not distracting). Vigorous carbonation. If you like hoppy saisons, this is a good one.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of yeast, grainy/rice malt, and spices. Flavor of yeast, bready malt, lots of spices (pepper) in the background, some tangy citrus. A good, spicy saison.

Bottle at Dan’s, courtesy of Armin. Big thanks man! Pour is hazy lemon in appearance with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Tart lemon peel, wheat, white pepper, light pineapple, yeast, and pear in the aroma. Taste is very spicy, bread, pepper, light pineapple, booze, citrus, and band-aid. Nice. 7/21/2011: Revolution Coup D’Etat (French-Style Saison)... Aroma: Earthy; toasted straw. Appearance: Burnished marifold color, hazy; beige crown. Flavor: Surprisingly sweet (more than expected); good maltiness; a bit of Belgian yeast spice; fleshy fruits; subtle Noble hoppiness; dry finish. Palate: Medium to medium-full. Overall: Very good integration of flavors and balance; complex.
