COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Double Pale Ale with juicy citrus hop flavor from Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo and Chinook hops. We started with the idea of doubling-down on our Iron Fist pale ale recipe, made a few tweaks and ended up with this great beer. Although the name says otherwise, we recommend one at time.

Dark copper with red hues. The aroma is fairly balanced between Cascade, Amarillo, and caramel. The flavor is mostly sweet at first, with some light alcohol, hop flavor, and softening bitterness. Sweet but satisfying finish. Pretty good.

Tap at the source during GLBTQ. Amber/copper color with excellent lacing of an off white color. Tulip style. Nose is tropical fruit with plenty of sweet notes. Taste leans towards the malty and sweet side of things with a little but enough bitterness from the hops to round it out. Caramel and toffee play along as the sip continues. The booziness is a factor as the alcohol burn is present. Delicious. Only improvement would be actually double fisting two glasses.

22 oz. bottle, thanks to Chalumeaux! No bottle date. The hop character is hear in the aroma but it also has a lot of caramel. Way too much caramel. The flavor is orange marmalade, melon pulp and again a lot of sweet caramel or crystal malts.

Body is fuller but the sweetness just takes over. The hops are just over run by a sweetness over load.

Bomber 2016, drunk 7/24/16.
Big, off-white head recedes quickly to a ring. Clear, deep amber.
Smells like C-hop and lots of specialty malt.....Uh oh. Yep, floral, bitter, grapefruit, orange rind, grain, iced tea. Pretty much all of the things that made me hate IPAs back in the day. Thank god brewers arent making this crap any more.
Intensely caramel-heavy and full of grain, toffee and thick honey. C hops galore, with astringent bitterness, stewed hops, vegetal notes and lingering light sourness. Clean, at least and not punishingly sweet or anything, but what would ever possess someone to want to brew this stuff any more. Let’s all just move on from 2006.

Poured from bottle thanks drfabulous dated 2/2016 dark copper color with a nice head. Aromas of grass grapefruit caramel malt and bread. Taste is a malty bitter bomb that lingers. Not good.

I can’t decipher the date code, but it’s from 2016 at least. Pours reddish copper brown with an off white head. Aroma is dank, caramel. Smells like old double pale. Flavor is caramel, molasses, grassy bitterness. This must be old. I’m not convinced that this was stellar when fresh, but it’s pretty bad now.

At Sooogood (SG75). Pours in a tall glass. Initial malty sweetness with a hint of citrus that finishes with layers of hops- citrus and pine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Aroma: citrus, herbs and biscuits. Appearance: clear amber color and amazing thin white head. Taste: medium herba bitterness, citrus notes, biscuits, nice malty backbone, balanced, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Decent DIPA, quite drinkable.
