Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into an English pint glass. Black with medium beige head. Aroma is chocolate malt, medium body, creamy texture, medium carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is chocolate, some nuts, a little dark malt and hop balance. From a 12 oz. can. Pours a clear deep cola brown with a thick tan head. Nutty and toasty aromas. Flavors of cocoa and leather. Light roast finish. mcberko (17339) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 11, 2016
On tap at Blind Tiger, pours dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt upfront, not much else. Flavour is along the same lines, with a meaty quality to the toasted malt. Big body despite the low gravity. Not especially complex but a thick feel in the palate. Very good. fuzzcro (295) - Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2016
Nice color and aroma.I missed the sweetness but must add there was no bitter either. It’s a fair porter...has no real distinction forward to compliment. tfontana (955) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 24, 2016
Can pour into nonic pint glass from Julio’s Liquors. Appearance is dark brown with mahogany tinge, no discernible sparkle, finger-width foamy light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong toffee, roasted malts, mild chocolate and vanilla. Taste is sweet roasted malts with mild chocolate, dark fruits, late roasted bitterness. Palate is medium bodied with thin, creamy texture, lively carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter roasted malts. Overall, not as chocolatey as advertised but nice nonetheless. Better as it warms.

Near black. Roasted malt, chocular and fruit. Flavor is roasted malt with mild brown sugar and a hint of dark fruit. Mild hops. TimE (5793) - Tokyo, JAPAN - SEP 14, 2016
Dark brown color. Sweet chocolate malty nose with some hints of dark fruit and minimum roastiness. Very smooth body. Lingering chocoalatey finish. ganache (5855) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 14, 2016
Can from VE. Nose sweet and dark, lightly scorched with sweet caramel. Pour brown that accumulates to black in the glass, foamy light brown head. Taste heavy chocolate with light-medium mineral character, faintly airy, excellent persistent low bitterness with good hard roast, light sweetness that also persists, flourishing red berry. Lightly tart, smooth and slightly creamy, full but not fat body. Malt a little straightforward but this is a drinkable, classic porter. Non Beer Trip Beer Trip Beer #25. 12 ounce can, 3/8/16. Dark brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong roasted malts and clay almost bordering on bandaid. The taste is chocolate, cherries, roasted malt, caramel. Thin bodied, low carbonation. Disappointing. Bebum (964) - Massachusetts, USA - AUG 6, 2016
Dark coffee/copper color, clear, tall, tight foam with no lace.
Aggressive barnyardy nose.
Medium body, moderate flavor, refreshing and well balanced mouthfeel, good carbonation and heat, avg length, clean aftertaste.
Moderately bittersweet, refreshing acidity.
Pleasant, easy drinking but not exciting.
