12 oz can. Pours a dark brown to black with a dark caramel head. Aromas of chocolate and Malt. Intense porter flavor with some chocolate and smokiness. Thin to medium mouth feel. Overall very nice porter. One of the best porters I have tried. mfhennig (285) - McHenry County, Illinois, USA - APR 29, 2015
12 oz can pours a really nice "not quite black" with a frothy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and some chocolate. This is not real thick, but it is smooth and creamy, decent carbonation a and it goes down easy.
Really nice porter, will probably do a side by side with Founders Porter! Ontape (471) - Valley Village, California, USA - APR 22, 2015
Draft in Chicago. This is gorgeous. About as dark as brown gets with light brown head. Smoky chocolate nose. Flavor is deep and rich like a good bittersweet chocolate bar. Beautiful balance. Solid brew! EyeAmBaldman (461) - Illinois, USA - APR 16, 2015
On tap at Pippin’s in Chicago. Pours opaque black with a thin dark caramel head. Aroma is toasty malt. Taste is seriously like toast with sweet jelly on the backend. Dark chocolate on the tongue with a creamy mouth feel. Good beer. BeerBunker (965) - Burbank, Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2015
12oz can. Pours dark brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma is of toasty malt, caramel, cocoa, and hops. Taste is of toasty malt, cocoa, and caramel. Has a nice hop character to it as well. Lingering hop taste. Mouthfeel is creamy, but not thick. Drinks very easy. I could definitely drink a sixer of this no problem. Very enjoyable.

Black pour with a one finger creamy tan head. Aroma is big on roast and roasted nuts, lots of toasty chocolate, a little dark caramel and light floral and herbal hop notes. Flavor is big on chocolate and nutty notes up front, with nice roast coming in a little later, some burnt sugar and spicy hops to the finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mostly dry entry, light carbonation and dry, slightly chalky finish. Good stuff. BeerFanDan17 (1120) - Brunswick, Maine, USA - APR 2, 2015
A robust porter with tons of malt, chocolate, and coffee. Pours a rich black with a frothy head.

From notes - On tap, dark with a small tan head, aroma of burnt malts but there was not a lot of smell. Taste followed the nose seemed pretty thin. A good porter but nowhere near the top of the list. Ed5388 (3480) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - FEB 19, 2015
12oz can shared by JohnGonk. Poured into a blue solo cup. Appears to be dark brown/black in color with a thick frothy tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt, and hints of coffee and vanilla. Taste of sour coffee, sweet molasses, bad chocolate, and finishes with notes of brownie batter. The aroma is definitely the star here
