This stuff is pretty well made but I am not 100% in love w/ the hop character. It’s a bit on the grassy/minerally side for me but overall it has a pretty nice structure in balance. It’s just a touch sweet w/ plenty of bitterness and is maybe just slightly on the heavy side. I personally prefer lighter hoppy beers w/ a brighter hop character but if you are into big beer and galaxy hop, I suspect you will like this much more than I do.

Draft. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture with soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

Bomber from Wine Merchant Findlay. Pours a mildly hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is grass, tropical fruit, and some cat pee with bits of citrus and apricot. Flavor is similar with light caramel and orange with tropical fruit, slight oxidation, and grassy guava. Light to medium in body and a bitterness that lingers to the finish. Color is a beautifully hazy orange and a nice IPA overall.

On draft. Somewhat cloudy burnt yellow with a thick white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, melon, and bubblegum. Taste is pine and grapefruit up front, met with juicy citrus malts and bits of caramel and toffee. Palate is thin to medium bodied and quenching. Good beer.

Draft. From notes. Nothing heroic about this, more like mild mannered middle management. Some nice citrus hops but not nearly what I was expecting. Way Over hyped.

fraternie (1011) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 2, 2015
UPDATED: MAR 17, 2017 A very pleasant, session able, creamy texture here for a beer that straddles the line between pale ale and IPA. Nothing extravagant yet nothing out of balance, with sweet citrus malt flavors balanced by a pleasant hop backbone.
